What is the next ‘MAJOR’ game coming out?

Starfield.

Bethesda's games also have legs longer than just about everything, so it'll be played for years to come.

After that I'd say Diablo 4 has that potential.

It's not a game but Psvr2 is pretty major for me. I just can't wait to compare the headset with the quest 2 and have tons of fun with it. February can't come soon enough!!

For the masses? Zelda. You're talking about people who barely buy video games buying Zelda. I would say Harry Potter, but a HP game isn't like a HP movie or book. I wish we'd get a lot games all at once so a bad review didn't stick out like a sore thumb. That's the worst part to a game's release IMO. Even if it could save you some money. It still sucks to have something you're anticipating get awful reviews before it releases.

I would probably say Hogwarts Legacy, everyone seems pretty excited for it, myself included and I wouldn't even say I am a harry potter fan :)

I think Forspoken is a major new IP from SE but I don't think it will perform well but if we're talking about games that will amaze people, I would say RE4 Remake

What's crazy though is that this year only Elden Ring and God of War were in the race for game of the year but in 2023, I think it's safe to presume that RE4 Remake, Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Final Fantasy XVi and Starfield could all make the nominees list based on their prestige around them unless they turn out to be shit. What a year it will be.

Probably Zelda in May. That's going to be an earthquake.

That's my rough list below of games with actual dates I'm likely getting. The 3 in bold are major games everyone will notice.
  • Jan 20th - Fire Emblem Engage
  • Feb 14th - Wanted: Dead
  • Feb 21st - Atomic Heart
  • Feb 24th - Octopath Traveler 2
  • Mar 3rd - Wo Long
  • Mar 24th - Resident Evil 4
  • May 12th - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
  • June 2nd - Diablo IV
  • June 22nd - Final Fantasy XVI

I guess that Dead Space remake? But not sure if is a major game

If not, there's the Harry Potter game on february, REmake 4 on march and Zelda in may

Oh my sweet summer child. No, generation zero is good, but you have the wrong studio lmao it's worse. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avalanche_Software
It's a different developer. There is another Avalanche, former subsidiary of Disney.
Well that's not confusing at all, mental note Avalanche Software != Avalanche Studios. Thanks for getting my shit in order.

But as Ribi said I'm not sure this is much of an improvement as far as previous track record goes.

I would say Hogwarts Legacy but honestly only thing that is stopping me being excited is the game being cross-gen.. I wish the game was made for 8core ryzen cpu/ssd in mind instead of slow jaguar and hdd

I dont play a lot of new games but I am super looking forward to BOTW2 and Hollow Knight 2

Dead Space Remake in January, and then Hogwart's Legacy in February. I feel like the latter will review better.
