Simple enough question. What does GAF think is the single most historically significant, blatantly dishonest statement ever made by any human being, ever?

And just to pre-empt the inevitable deluge of smart-arse comments about the Bible, 9/11 or some other cynical political bollocks like that, I'm talking about one specific thing a person has said that has been comprehensively proven to be false.

we have several threads for that, lets not turn this thread into one of these. Obviously people will disagree, especially when you phrase your response in such a way that insults something so personal to people. I think the OP specifically meant to discourage statements like this.
