I've seen the majority of them, not all.

However Crash by far as other have said the worst.

You people saying Braveheart are fucking crazy.

Crash and The Departed are equally tired to me, equally horrible films.

English Patient was the most boring movie I had ever seen. That was the movie that mad me stop trying to watch all the award winning movies.

The best part of Crash is when two black men complaining about people assuming they're criminals immediately rob a white couple afterwards. Later on, one of those guys has a hardworking white collar black man call him a disgrace to his race.

Meanwhile, the white cop who uses his position to sexually assault black women is really an okay dude because his dad is sick and he rescued a black woman from a car fire.

It's Hollywood's vision of a nuanced discussion of racism, and it is hilarious.

I'll vote for The Artist, a movie so slight you forgot to even include it.

Do keep in mind that virtually every other BP nominee that year, with the possible exception of The Tree of Life, was pretty unremarkable:

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
The Descendants
The Help
Hugo
Midnight in Paris
Moneyball
War Horse

I don't think I liked Birdman. Way too frantic.

Crash was a little too on-the-nose to be best picture. It was a joke.

I kinda laughed seeing that LOTR: Return of the King won.

and... Chicago!? What?

By far better movies and more interesting, the artist was complete oscar bait

Brad Pitt and Fassbender worst performances in a long time, maybe in their entire career?

Fassbender worst performance? Pitt does nothing so I can give you that (although he's had worst performance) but it's probably one of Fassbender's best performances of his career and would my favorite if I didn't have a biased towards his performance in Inglorious Basterds.

Chiwetel Ejiofor's performance alone is some of the best I've seen yet.

Argo.

French Connection is definitely not the worst Oscars Best Picture winner.

Haven't seen Titanic which might be a contender.

And while I like Gladiator a lot I am not sure it is Oscar Best Picture worthy.

Funny enough, I've seen Crash, but I can't remember what happened in it, so I'll go with the one that I cared for the least, The King's Speech.

I've seen:
Around the World in 80 Days
Ben-Hur
The Sound of Music
The Godfather
The Godfather Part II
Rocky
Gandhi
Rain Man
Dances with Wolves
The Silence of the Lambs
Unforgiven
Forrest Gump
Braveheart
Titanic
American Beauty
Gladiator
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Million Dollar Baby
The Departed
No Country for Old Men
The Hurt Locker
The King's Speech
Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

Birdman was the worst. Just terrible.

Crash was bad; many other quality nominees that year should've won instead.

Really? What else would have won? What do you really think was better than Crash that year?

Good Night and Good Luck? Because that was actually a quality movie that was completely snubbed in exchange for some shitty art piece that only won because it dealt with a hot topic at the time. D<

I really like Good Night and Good Luck and thought it was an easy contender for Best Picture that year. I was really mad then. I still am now.

Edit:

Films I've Seen said:
Casablanca
The Bridge on the River Kwai
Lawrence of Arabia
The Sound of Music
In the Heat of the Night
Patton
The French Connection
The Godfather
The Sting
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Rocky
Driving Miss Daisy
The Silence of the Lambs
Unforgiven
Schindler's List
Forrest Gump
Titanic
Gladiator
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Million Dollar Baby
Crash
The Departed
No Country for Old Men
The King's Speech
Argo
12 Years a Slave
Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)
The Hurt Locker
Slumdog Millionaire
Chicago
A Beautiful Mind
Grand Hotel
Gone With the Wind
West Side Story

Of the last 20 years I have seen all except 2.

Birdman was the worst of the lot, by some distance. Its one of the only films on the winners list I actively disliked.

English Patient was fantastic. Thanks for letting me know who you are if you hated it so I know who to avoid opinions from!

Casablanca
The Bridge on the River Kwai
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Rocky
Rain Man
Driving Miss Daisy
Dances with Wolves
The Silence of the Lambs
Schindler's List
Forrest Gump
The English Patient
Titanic
American Beauty
A Beautiful Mind
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
Crash
No Country for Old Men
Slumdog Millionaire
The Hurt Locker
The King's Speech
Argo
12 Years a Slave

Top five:

1. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
2. Forrest Gump
3. No Country for Old Men
4. 12 Years a Slave
5. American Beauty

Bottom five:

1. Crash
2. The English Patient
3. Titanic
4. The Hurt Locker
5. Rocky

Mind you, the only movies I dislike of the bottom five are Crash and The English Patient. Titanic is okay, The Hurt Locker is decent, and Rocky is good. Crash is really, really bad, and I felt that The English Patient was really boring. For the latter though, perhaps I am just an idiot clod, but I like to think that typically, I don't get put off by films that most people would consider boring.

Looking at that list of nominations Wow the movie industry has been terrible for a long time. The only good year was maybe 2007 with there will be blood and that didn't even win lol Oscars are awful.

Good Night and Good Luck is one of the most criminally underrated film of all time.

Maybe Crash. It's probably Crash.

It's Crash.

Birdman, The Artist and Argo are all a close second (I liked Argo but it's not that good). It's no surprise those films won though because they're all wanky insider films.

I said it in the other thread, too, but every nominee that year was better than Crash:

Capote
Good Night and Good Luck
Brokeback Mountain
Munich

All fantastic movies, and all miles above the drivel that was Crash
