We are coming to the end of the model year for most brands, and I figure there is some turnover from the last time we did the thread. Tell us what vehicle(s) you own/drive. If you plan on buying/leasing something different in the near future, what are you considering?

----------

I drive a pickup truck. It is my daily driver, and we use it for anything and everything.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 (Molten Red)
Quad Cab SLT
5.7L V8 with auto
4x4 (floor shifter) with LSD
Line-X bedliner (over the rails)
Tow package
Kenwood radio with Sirius tuner

My girlfriend drives a crossover. We also use it for long trips as it will get almost 30 MPG on the highway if we drive like our grandparents. It is a basic vehicle without any options, but she likes it better than anything she has ever owned before... and she has has some nice cars in the past. We pretty much stole it off the dealer lot since nobody seems to like driving a manual anymore.

2004 Saturn Vue (Electric Blue)
2.2L I4 with 5-speed manual
FWD

silver 97 honda accord with a mr t experience bumper sticker and a broken tape deck. another year of payments and it will be mine! woo.

edit: I would like to get a bitchin camaro.

I have a 2005 Chevy Equinox (black).

Thanks to Michael Bay's super awesome rad product placement, I want a convertible Camaro.

I will never be able to afford one though.

I just sold my...

2003 Acura CL Type-S
Leather
NAVI
Auto Dimming Mirrors
HID lights
Terrible transmission :lol

I now have a 1999 GMC Jimmy with 118k miles that I got for $700... This is/will be my daily commuter since it's decent on gas.

In late 2008 I will be the owner of a BMW 335i coupe aka sexual healing.

2000 Hyundai Tiburon (Awesome green)

Cosmic Bus

pristine morning snow
A 1993 Saturn SL2 that's slowly disintigrating and seems to cost me at least $700 a year in repairs.

What will I consider as a replacement? Something I can afford. Like an '89 Civic or something.

Still runs alright, couple minor issues with the clutch at the moment, but I haven't hit 55,000 miles yet.

Fantastically reliable, and cheap to maintain.
Its so fun to drive, feels like a go kart when pushed hard.
I love it and have no plans to upgrade it any time soon.. unless it goes up in flames or something.

I've got one of these. My dad gave it to me when I went to University. It has 368k on it and it's never broken down.

My home theater equipment costs multiple times more than the car. :lol

I just got replaced my beloved 2004 G35 Coupe with something much more practical, a fully loaded 2007 Mazda CX-7 crossover:

Metallic Red
All-Wheel Drive
Turbo 4 w/ 244 hp and 258 lb ft torque
Completely loaded with navigation, satellite radio, sunroof, intelligent key, and leather

It's quick, nimble, and really does drive like a car, and I have so much more room than I had in my G35 Coupe, plus it actually does a lot of things better inside the car, surprisingly enough, all for the same price that I paid for my G.

Pictures represent proper colors & options, but are not of my actual vehicles:

2007 Ford F-150 Supercab w/5.4l "Triton" V8 and 4WD:

Used mostly for hauling stuff. We should be getting a horse trailer in the not-too-distant future and we'll tow it with the truck.

2007 Volkswagen GTI with 6-speed manual & nav:
remoteImage-23.jpg

The commuter car for my wife & I.

2007 John Deere X500 with 26hp Kawasaki v-twin engine and 54" cutting deck:

Used for mowing, towing, spreading, and eventually snow removal, dragging gravel & other small farm-related activities.

The trusty 'ole 2002 Mazda Protege ES 2.0L. Been driving it for a few years now, going on 70K, and it's been good to me. Just finished paying it off so I plan to keep it for awhile and pretend like work gave me a $300/month raise. I was very seriously considering buying a new Mazda 3 for awhile, test drove it abit, and finally came to realize how stupid I was for considering giving up a reliable vehicle and getting under another five years of payments.

Were something to happen to the car, I'd likely go straight to a Mazda 3. I love how the car looks and it drives like an evolved version of the car I already have since it, well, basically is. I wish they made a non-hatchback Mazdaspeed Mazda 3, but eh, I don't know how to drive stick and it's too expensive so it doesn't really matter. An Acura TSX would be nice, but likely outside my budget.

More people should be this wise. If you're going to take the hit for depreciation anyways, you might as well get your money's worth out of the car and drive it until the repair bills outweigh buying a replacement.

I saw one of those in the States once and I was like WTF? I don't know if it's a Canada-only model, but I have never seen one at a dealership.

Yes, It's a canada only model. It's based on the civic, so it's a civic like vehicle that has the Acura treatment.
