Great fun so far. First real test will be in a few weeks when I drive up to Windemere. That'll show how usable it is for motorway cruising. Up to now its been only short hops to and from work. I need it to be at least semi-practical - don't like the idea of using the wife's focus for long journeys.

Congratulations mrklaw! You got a nice example, from what I can see. You're gonna love the car and wonder why you ever agonized over the decision :D SMGII is a great system -- even more than full throttle shifting, I loved quickly moving through the gears at 4-5k as it'll make quick work out of most any other car you'll ever encounter in normal day-to-day traffic. The throttle response in this car is ridiculous. I've had people pull up beside me right after just to say, "Holy SH!T!" :lol

You need to give us impressions after the longer ride. Again, congrats :D

...and that, kids, was the first time I sucked a dick for crack
MrKlaw: Congrats on the M3! Now we have two 350Z owners and two M3 owners. =)

Was in a Hit and Run the first day I had the vehicle, and decided that I don't really need a sick car yet (my first car), so I decided to get a beat up 93 Civic. Going to stick with it until it dies (shortly), and then upgrade to a 300 or another DTS.

You didn't have insurance?

Very well rusted, but i love it - small, very responsive (no servo wheel) and cheap to maintain.

That, and his hit-and-run story is totally ridiculous.. "I bought a nice new car and someone wrecked it, so I bought a beater instead because I can't have nice things.. but I'll be buying another one soon!!!!!1111111111111"

I'd like to be that stupid and have that much money.

It's my first real car :D

That being said, I'll be paying for it until 2012 =(

Also, please ignore the background, it's an abandoned warehouse out where I work. If I were to turn the camera around, you'd see a bunch of hangers and a flightline (I work at an Air Force Base).

I didn't know a requirement of posting in this thread was that I had to have purchased the vehicle. It was the car I had, and intended to use for the foreseeable future, so I figured it was worth posting. When I was young my father used to drive a beater and he was a multimillionaire at that point. I'm nowhere near that level, and after not being able to avoid getting hit, I decided that I should work my way up (though I did hold on to it for a short while after, and it is a sick car).

The Civic I'm in now has a gap near the window making it real loud when I'm on the highway, broken speedometer, and sometimes the car starts rolling even when I'm holding the brakes (though this is the first older car I've driven, so I just might not be used to it, but I only need it for another 2 months, so it would be stupid to try and get something better.

Anyway I have a video of me and the DTS, I could take a picture of the police report from the Hit and Run, and could take pics/vids of the civic.

You might be right about me being "that stupid" though, because I have absolutely no idea why someone would make up a story like that.

I loved my puma. First car I ever bought brand new (actually imported from The Netherlands as it was so much cheaper than the UK).

I remember it being delivered - I was at work and the delivery truck brought it there, and it looked gorgeous in the sun as it rolled out of the back of the truck.

Had to sell it when we had our first child as it was too small for a baby seat in the back :/
