Yeah, I dug around amazon.co.uk to find it, so I'm aware of the R2 pitfalls. I just might have to drop you a line. ^_^

HELL YES, the show is a Sci-Fi show with a western cowboy theme, I hate westerns, but It's somethign I LOVE about Firefly, I'll just give you a quick intro to the show. It's set like 500 years in the future, there doesnt seem to be any known aliens in the universe (though myybe the show was going to reveal some later had Fox not fucked it over) Planets are teraformed for human civilization, and it seems Earth was destroyed or has at least been badly damaged. A huge war has just ended 4 years erlier, and the main cherecter and captain of the ship had fought as a sargent for the loosing side. His side was fighting fro freedom basicly, and the other side had the plan to be a unifyed (but corrupt government). The captian Malcolm Renoylds is now owns his own ship Serienity, and has a crew, they do what ever they can to avoide the alliance (the unified government), and to keep flying. And that means doing any thing they can, usualy smuggeling work. The show has a total of 9 cherecters, and in the few episodes there are, you really start to care about them. The show is well writter with lots of heart..

I cant say much more without spoiling the story of the show, and it has a story that it quickly gets in to. FUCK YOU FOX!!!!!!!!!!!!

And all that's coming from a guy who usualy HATES space Sfi-Fi shows that arent Star Trek, and also I dont even like Buffy and Angle.

Anyway, my DVD's:

Star Trek: DS9 Season 2
Futurama Volumes 1 through 4
Simpsons Season's 1 through 4
Smallville Season's 1 and 2
24 Seasons 1 and 2
Famly Guy Volume 1
And last by not least Firefly Complete Series

I am looking forward to 24 Season 3, Simpsons 5 and on till at least 9 or 10 (may not bother after that seeing as beyond that point the show blows). Scrubs, NewsRadio and I still need to get Famly Guy Volume 2. And of corse Star Trek...

I found a couple things frunny while reading this thread, 1. With the number of people who bought Firefly, I wish Fox would get a clue and pull a Famly Guy and bring it back and NOT fuck with it. And 2. Paramount needs to burn in hell. HOW THE FUCK can they be so greedy as to charge double for the Star Trek seasons than like everysingle other hour long TV show that sells at ½ the price. I mean, here in Canada, there $120 each, EVEN TNG, STILL!!!! And this thread pointed out how many WANT them, but cant afford them.

I mean, I love Star Trek, but I down want to spend almost 3 grand just to get all the TNG, DS( and Voyager seasons!!! Bah!!

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
>>>Looney Toons Golden Collection<<<

That's absolutely not a television collection. Sure, they were later showed on television, but so has just about any movie ever made.

As for me, I have about 350 movies, but I've neglected my TV DVD buying, and only have...

Sledge Hammer! - Season 1 (Yessssssssssssss!)
Buffy - Seasons 1-4
South Park - Season 2
Star Trek: TOS- Season 1

Ultraviolet - Best vampire story ever, possibly, from Channel 4.

I recently borrowed this from a friend and was completely blown away. The absolute best attempt at putting vampires on screen since Near Dark. It's played straight, the implications are thoroughly thought out and worked through, and the plot has a terrific payoff. I'll be buying my own copy posthaste. Rant, rave, highest possible recommendation, etc, etc.

Cheers for the intro. Sounds interesting and I'll definately considering looking into it. But my only concern is that considering only a season was made, does the main plot ever get resolved or is there many loose ends that don't get tied up by the finale?
