"medieval"

was that intentional or did you really think that's how it's spelt?
Nice. :lol

Well damn you must be high on caffeine this morning. But anyways thank you for correcting my mistake good sir.
it's 8:00 PM here in aussie land, so I'm not high on caffeine. And no problem! I like to help however i can.

For the record, 'spelt' is the variant preferred in UK English, 'spelled' is the variant preferred in US English.

Anyway, Ive still gotta say Wreckless, nothing has wowed me like that game did, especially the night time levels when you destroy the neon signs...so pretty, and the water too, i spent days on the level at the docks because i just couldn't stop starring at it.

Super Mario 64.

No game's graphics have come close to impressing me since that game was released. Graphics don't impress me one bit.

However, if I'm playing a game, and I feel like I'm having a lot of fun with it, THAT impresses me. Really impresses me.

You can pick 'XIII' up at Toys R us for less than 5 dollars (to the guy who liked cel-shaded games)

I would put FF X-2. I had lost hope in the game about halfway through ... but I kept chugging along to see those awesome FMV's and bosses.

Before that .. it was probably Destruction Derby for the psone. I had actually rented it first, and found it to be pretty shallow. But I wanted a cool game to show all my friends when they came over, so I bought it.

The last experience?

RE4.

It brought forth all aspects of graphic whorism (including the negative side).

Last summer, I built a giant monstrously expensive PC rig so that I could play Doom3 and Half-Life 2 at max specs. It actually did! :lol

Ninja Gaiden pretty much blew everything out of the water for me.

Ninja Gaiden still impresses the hell out of me with the boss fights. That dragon is insane.

Overall though I suppose Half Life 2 at full settings just really sets the bar right now.

I'm having a bit of the opposite crisis at the moment. I got Metal Arms for the PS2 for Xmas, and having finally gotten around to checking it out the other day, I can't get over the sort of muddy look to it. I think my biggest concern is the rather bland looking explosions and robot deaths. I think the biggest cause of this is that I'm also playing R&C:GC at the moment, which seems to be along the same lines, but looks a LOT cleaner.

I usually can overlook muddy graphics and/or a less than stable framerate, but for some reason the general graininess of MA is just too distracting... Does the GC version look noticably better?

I thought Metal Arms for Cube was too ugly to bother with, and that was over a year ago. That game just didn't appeal to me at all...
