"Supposedly the FCC's efforts to control indecent content are to protect children. Children watch cable TV like everybody else," said McCall. At some point, the federal government "is going to have to wrestle with this issue."

McCall predicts that the issue of regulating paid programming, when it comes up, is sure to be controversial. "It's going to be a hot (political) potato," he said.

If I pay for it, why does the Federal government want to regulate it? Makes no sense at all !!!

Seriously though - the argument for censorship on the airwaves is that radio frequencies are public domain (not exactly that but something along that line). With cable everything is owned by the cable companies, the private purchaser of cable television, and the cable stations. There should be no censorshp.

Actually, I wanted to quote and not boldface...But Lynx wouldn't let me see the tag...Anyways I know what to manually type now...
