To me, CES is bigger than E3. I love technology and am always looking forward to the next big thing. I want to know where I can find some good CES info. I'm mainly interested in the new technologies, but would also like to know what companies will be offering in 2005.

I've seen a little of what's been going on, but I missed yesterdays episode of The Screen Savers and haven't found any good websites showing things from the floor.

What do you think was the biggest news to come out of E3 (besides Bill's problems)?

Right now I like the TivoToGo feature. It just rolled out and I got a message on my TiVo box. I can now download TiVo recordings to my home networked computers to watch them... and soon I'll be able to burn them to DVD. (yes, I realize ReplayTV owners can already do this).

I also thought the mini-hard drives were sweet. A little bigger than an SD card, but held 8-10GB of data.

Is there an official website for the CES event ?

I'd like to check into new DJ equipment, Denon usually announces their new dual CD players at CES.

I'm hoping like hell they finally release a dual CD player for DJ'ing with a build in HDD.

CNET.com has some decent coverage of the event. Can't say how comprehensive it is, but it seems to cover most of the bases.

I was about ready to get really excited by Kodak's new Wifi + touchscreen camera until I saw that the Wifi was apparently an add-on of sorts. Still, it's a step in the right direction, although somewhat curious that they chose Wifi over bluetooth given that there seem to be more photo printers that support BT as a connectivity option than Wifi.

Other than that, I like the sound of Archos' update to their AV400 series of portable media players and just the general emphasis of HD at the show.

TivoToGo is too little too late for me. I want to be able to record High Def content from digital broadcasts more than I want the TivoToGo functionality and that doesn't look like its coming until 2006. So, luckily, Cablevision just started offering HD DVR service in my area for a lesser monthly fee than the Tivo subscription.
