What's the next Sony AAA IP to go third party on Nintendo Switch/Switch 2?

People were surprised, some in hysterical disbelief, when LEGO Horizon Adventures was announced for Nintendo Switch.

I always thought it was an odd addition to PlayStation's third party release category. It was a commercial and critical failure.

Which PlayStation IP do you feel is a good fit for Switch 2?

I think Uncharted would be a good fit for a Nintendo platform, with it's almost cartoonish presentation and characters.

Lmao…Yes because a Lego spinoff is truly one of their tentpole AAA franchises.
Literally none of them will appear on Switch 2, just like none of them will appear on Xbox either.
And Uncharted has cartoonish characters/presentation? Are you retarded?

Whatever Media Molecule is working on, which I imagine is some sort of Roblox/Minecraft-type UGC game. I'd expect that to launch on mobile too.

Astrobot would probably sell really well on the Switch 2, but the actual PS5 hardware plays such a prominent role in the game that it's hard to imagine Sony porting it over, even if they were hypothetically going to bring some of their first party titles to the platform.

Ghost of Tsushima could be a solid choice too, since it seems to be popular in Japan.

If they do it needs to be PS4 and select PS5 titles only. For any new games going forward, hopefully none, there's no way to traverse that CPU & B/W gap (even on Switch 2) without releasing a fundamentally different game and I wouldn't want it to be a consideration during development otherwise some games will have their scope fundamentally limited..

Is this a concern troll thread? The Lego IP is owned by the Lego group and not Sony. The Horizon game was a license from Sony after the Lego group approached them first.

It's like saying The Wonderful 101 (before Platinum Games got the IP back from Nintendo) now not being exclusive to Nintendo consoles anymore, and is available on PS, Xbox and PC, is the smoking gun to Nintendo going 3RD party.

Yeah, I'm not taking this bait lol

None of them unless if they have licensing, like Lego, like MLB. I think that the only reason those are multiplatform is because of licensing and it was cheaper or more beneficial for everybody to have them on other platforms.

Astro Bot being such a nintendo style games feels like it's something you don't put on switch unless you want less people to buy your console.

I don't think of horizon Legos as a Sony game. It was just a partnership like Lego has done a million times with hundreds of IP.

Uncharted would be a good series for switch 2. Or like others mentioned astro bot

Hilarious that you used to be the one ridiculing port begging.

This port begging... what next, "perfect for Switch"?

Whenever there's a hint of a MS first party game going to another system, usually Switch, they come out port begging despite not wanting/needing an Xbox because they've all got PCs with 4090s in them 🤡

Xbox has no games!

...but here's a list of Xbox franchises we'd love to see on PlayStation :messenger_loudly_crying:

This thread is very ill-informed.

I don't remember anyone really going crazy that Horizen is on Switch (most people here seem to hate the franchise)

also the reason the game is 3rd party, much like MLB, will come down to an agreement on legos side and not Sony just being a nice guy.

Finally all games on all platforms is the best future, if anything, Nintendo are the grumpy guts holding back excellence on other platforms.
