What's your favorite secondary controller / sub-platform of all times? ( Light Guns , Power pad , Kinect , PS Move , PSVR , Wii Balance Board etc)

I never tried any of the fishing controllers but now that we have the technology to add dynamic resistance to controllers this would be the perfect time to bring them back.

We didn't appreciate this moment in time like we should have 😭

I really enjoyed this peripheral and it worked for Resistance 3 and Killzone 3 too. I got the next iteration for PSVR1 too that worked great with Firewall.

Probably a guitar hero guitar got the most time out of me. Rock band guitar I preferred because it lost the annoying click. Same thing though.

2nd would be a fight joystick.

3rd is probably a flight stick/HOTAS.

Never owned much else. Friends had all kinds of NES doodads, like the robot and the running pad, but I never did.

I only remember playing Duck Hunt with Nintendo Zapper but I believe it had more games I just don't remember playing them. I remember the paddle controller for Atari but I was grown before I really appreciated them .

The Power Pad is my favorite from my childhood but I only remember the Track & Field game but as a kid that was enough & justified the giant pad .

I don't really like VR for some reason so I have missed out on the last few generations of secondary platforms so PlayStation Move is still my all time favorite secondary platform.

What are your favorites?
Do racing wheels count? Because then I would choose that.

I made this thread 3 days before PlayStation revealed their fight stick & it will probably be too expensive to fully become PS5'S Sub-platform but it would be amazing if PS5 + Arcade Stick becomes a big enough user-base that devs start to making games with the arcade stick in mind again.

Console gaming has been based around the dpad then later thumb stick since the death of Atari consoles & the small cult following of NEO•GEO, The Joystick was far from perfect but it made the simplest games more engaging & that was missing from mainstream console gaming until the Wii was released.

The Fight Stick by itself isn't the important part but if it can shift game development even a little on top of being a option for fighting games & retro arcade style games it could be a great moment in modern gaming. Best part is that it wouldn't be limited to Project Defiant.
