yeah definitely worse. All they cover is philly and new england, philly and NE. mcnabb and TO this, belichick that. I understand these are two of the top teams but come on, lets have some substance and not the sensationalized shit weve been getting lately. less catch phrases and steven a smith and more highlights please...

if only they had more shows like edge nfl matchup and pti theyd be ok. i honestly have no use for wsop, ath and such.

Whoa, whoa, whoa....Tom Jackson?!? He is the only thing keeping Chris Berman from being completely intolerable. I do agree that they focus entirely too much on Northeast sports, especially the Yankees and Red Sox. It also seems that they prefer USC, Big 12, Big 10, and the ACC to SEC football - mainly because none of their analysts have an SEC background (Lou Holtz and Jim Donnan are idiots and do not count). I think the whole Southeast in general gets the shaft, but I guess that's just how it will always be.

And I completely forgot to mention the best thing about ESPN - Page 2, and more specifically, my favorite sports columnist:

I'm also getting sick of Chris Berman and all of the annoying catch phrases he has been using over and over and over again for the last who knows how many years. I think Stuart Scott is Berman's disciple.

The Sunday night crew is beyond horrible. Nothing is worse than listening to them when Brett Favre is on the field slingin' and slangin' *pukes*. They should just have his babies and get it done with already.

michael irvin may be a loudmouth, but he can be insightful and generally forms his own opinions. this is why i hate tom jackson, all he does is regurgitate bermans opinions and repeat all the old football cliches.

U know, at one time I used to hate Michael Irvin, because of his constant references to "the U" and his over-the-top style. But I've actually come to like him quite a bit. Sure, he can be a bit bombastic at times, but he's sincere and he knows what the fook he's talking about.

As for Stewie Scott, well, he's a little too MacDaddy for my taste.

I wish I could get ESPNU :-\ Is it something you can pay extra for? I get ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, and ESPNEWS on TWC Digital Cable, but no ESPNU. I wonder if they even have it on TWC, or if you have to have satellite TV to actually get the channel (I'm guessing that's the case)? *sigh*

I guess I must have a high tolerance I don't find Skip and Woody's 1st and 10 on Cold Pizza to be too irritating. Sure they say a lot of stupid things but hey, what they're doing is more for entertainment value than trying to make any sort of valid points. Hell, Woody's "Professor Screwloose" skits are on a G4 X-Play Adam Sessler level, but I roll with the punches. Cold Pizza for the most part just gives me something else to watch instead of the upteenth Sportscenter airing or if I'm not interested in watching the Mike & Mike Show on ESPNEWS. There's not a whole lot else to watch sports related in the morning and for the most part its more entertaining than MSNBC/CNN/FoxNews/The Today Show
