When recharging your GB Micro - does it vibrate?

kaizoku

I'm not as deluded as I make myself out to be
Mine does, I am suspecting it has a dodgy adapter and I may have to buy a new one :( Its almost like a strong level of static builds up on the back of the system, hasn't harmed me at all - but does it happen to anyone else?

I hear the DSL uses a charger that looks like the GBm's, but isn't.

Employees of NOE say that micro adapters work with the DS lite. But, DS lite adapters don't work with GB micros. We'll find out on March 1. :D

Weird.

Try to get it replaced under warranty, you might be able to save some money.

Its a Famicom one which came from eBay and the guy included some cheap UK adapter in already.

Now I don't know wtf to do lol. Wait for DSL launch I suppose :(

I don't even know if my adapter converter thing I have for my PSP will work with the DSL! This is annoying.

Pretty sure you can get the USA charger from NoA's website for fairly cheap. But if you live outside the states...

You can't buy a nintendo micro charger? Or do you suspect it's the system that has the problem?

My options assuming they use the same plug:

Use DSL Japanese plug with my travel adapter (lets different shaped plugs work in UK) -

IF DSL can't handle 240v then...

Buy a UK GB Micro charger and use it for DSL and Micro

OR

Buy a step down converter and use it with my travel adapter so the Japanese DSL plug works at the right voltage.

END IF.

If they can't use the same charger my head will explode.

Where do you live?
When I normally charge my powerbook (metal casing) everything is fine...but when I took it to China, where I suspect the earthing was not correct, I could feel the current or vbrations through the casing when it was plugged in, and I would get shocks from teh screws.

Maybe your earth is screwed?

as mrkgoo said, it sounds like youre getting shocked basically. i felt it with my friends powerbook as well, at least when using the 2 prong plug. with the grounded plug it was fine...not that thats an option for the gameboy.

have you tried different outlets at least? just something to eliminate the possibility that its the gb or charger, instead of the outlet.

Aren't most, if not all laptops voltage adjustable?

Not sure what you mean, but the adaptor is 110-240 V compatible. Tried it in the States, Taiwan, NZ and China. Only in China (and only in some places) did it give shocks.

I meant that laptops can accept any voltages around the world.

Seems you answered my question though. :P

Aw, how cute. Your cell phone dressed up like gb micro because you never play with it anymore.

end without if.

Why? :lol

Anyway I've recharged my GBM a few times and no fires or anything, it works ok, but I guess I should stop and get a new adapter.

I know my outlet is fine as I use it for loads of stuff like PSP, DS, GBA SP etc.

Some people made lame jokes in this thread =_=
