Paid $99 for the premium edition and it unlocks in about 48 hours. The file downloaded is a placeholder of 314mb. My internet sucks and need to pre-download the 133gb game no later than tomorrow so it will actually be ready to play on Thursday at 6:00pm CDT when it unlock for the premium edition or the Gamepass upgrade.

I have deleted all files and rebooted 3x. Went to my owned games. Went to 'manage game and add-ons' and still no full pre-load. Briefly it DID show the 133gb file but then reverted to the 314mb placeholder.

Does anyone at Microsoft or Xbox have any insight into this? Because if I can't even begin to download it on when it unlocks then I am likely going to try for a refund. Losing a day of playtime. Most games allow a pre-load of the full game, and being the big holiday title, it would be inexcusable for them to not allow the pre-load.

Is my XSX just botched? Has anyone on XSX been allowed to pre-download the entire game yet?

You want to play the game so bad you preordered, are worried about preloading, but you're going to refund? Just play the game when it's available for you to play it.

Also, take this as a lesson to stop preordering games. No reason in this day and age with all the shit happening in the world to have prerelease anxiety about a video game.

It’s a preload available to play Thursday at 6:00 pm not Monday. That’s what you pay for.

Oh nice, good that this is available for PC folks as well.

STALKER 2 wasn't available to pre-load for PC at all until the game released.

Just tried again. Just the same placeholder. Deleted it all and tried again. Also no update in ‘manage game and add ons’ after installing the placeholder. Don’t know what’s going on. I’ll try again before work in the morning.

Try this.

Install the 300MB tile. Then go to the "Manage Game and Add On's" for the game/tile.

On this page, check the Updates button in the middle, see if it shows 1 update available etc. It may say "1 items" and size on the right.

That's how it was for me, after I downloaded the 300MB tile, it didn't start downloading the full 130GB automatically, but when I checked here, it showed 1 update available and that's where I was able to start it from.

edit: If you're already looking at the update button under the manage and not seeing it, I'd say try clearing the cache too.
