It's strange that stuff like Trish and Frank West seem to be silhouettes of official art. You would think we'd be able to match the others up the same way.

I'd be down for Nero. They are grooming him to take over the DMC games one would think. Although there's no way that they'd leave out Dante if a Super Edition comes out.

Also if you look at the hilt of the sword, it's most definitely Dante's sword and not Nero's. Nero's ends like a baseball bat while Dante's ends in a point like the silhouette.

Thats 38 characters. I expect they will choose the most popular characters from the movies. Also many Capcom IPs, after all Capcom can't just copy and paste Street Fighter Alpha sprites anymore:lol . I don't expect characters to hit the 40's because they have to start from scratch and can't reuse sprites, plus Capcom has confirmed that there will be character specific story, and with a 40+ cast, that would be a huge task.
Another thing, I remember someone saying in this thread that one of the Capcom execs said they are having problems with getting rights to sime characters (what if its Spiderman, I hope not).

As for the whole Dante or Nero thing, the original silhouette behind the Capcom logo that many believe to be Dante or Nero has baggier pants. Nero's pants are a lot more slim fitting than that, while Dante's DMC3 look features baggy pants...

For example, Shuma Gorath Hard Kick has pretty much the same animation as Spiral Hard Punch, and both flash purple when they're performing their special attack.

Pretty much this. Dante's a better character, but Nero's grab and interesting timing would be a lot of fun, I feel. Hell, Vergil might even be a better character for a fighting than Dante, given that his style (or Style) is so teleportation-centric and they could do some pretty cool moves with his magic swords (forgot what they're called).drohne said:

The real giveaway that it's Dormammu is that you can see the spikes from the flaming head in the silhouette. That's when I knew it definitely wasn't Ghost Rider, as he has nothing resembling horns or spikes on his head.
