I would agree with you completely, it is only that the one silhouette in question here has a fire head in one, but not in the other. I need a good model image with the guy in question with a sexy looking cowl or something to convince me otherwise. And don't forget the curled hand raised with long nails.

The theory isn't infallible, but the sillhouette looks more like Domy than Mephisto. The shoulder pads are too pronunced in that black/red image. As for the hand, They could have given him different gloves or it could just be the angle of it. And for the flame head, it could easilly be that the flames aren't modelled but rather rendered in game since that image is made up of in game renders. Again, can't be Mephisto because said image doesn't have any hair and he has semi-Vegeta hair.

Also also, Fing Fang Foom plz. At least if there are giants like TvC.

I'm not sure if this was ever resolved, but for those speculating Nero instead of Dante, I don't think the silhouette matches up.

Look at the hilt of the sword. It's not the Red Queen. It's likely Rebellion. Even Alastor or Force Edge would meet the criteria.

I'd say Dante is pretty much confirmed (if there was any doubt).

Judging by guardian's sword comparison I'd say that Dante is way more probable at this point than Nero.

I agree with all those picks. I'll go even further and try to cut it down to the theoretical MvC3 roster of 30. This would necessitate eliminating 13 characters from each of the Marvel and Capcom sides. Adding to your list:

After whittling the roster down to 30, the even harder task of figuring out which characters to replace with new ones would have to take place. This type of exercise really shows how much MvC begs to have a huge roster. If Capcom is creating a roster with the assumption that there will be an expansion, I would expect to get a solid base of characters in MvC3, 2-3 unusual choices per side, and also a few confusing omissions that they can bill as big additions to the new version.

Well...the fact that Ryu could change his fighting type was pretty a pretty good indication that people needed to fight as ken and akuma even if they were not there.

That kind of fanservice is pretty rare these days and shows just how popular those three SF characters were and still are.

Ken and Akuma alone are iconic fighting game characters and my inclusion of these characters isn't based solely on nostalgia like Jin/Commando/strider who aren't as popular or well known.

Spider Man is probably one of the most iconic characters of any fantasy based franchise ever made. Magneto has always had his spot of popularity and strength in the marvel/X-men universe and Ken...well you can see above.

That is felicia without a doubt. If you look at the more detailed images on the previous page you can clearly see felicia's scruffy tail and her fur.

True, they aren't just putting in old sprites, this game is completely brand new. I'm just grateful we are even getting a new entry.
