Where Ya Curly Mustaches At?! Marvel vs Capcom 3 Hype Thread of Scoops!

If it is Trish, I'm going be disappointed. I love DMC, but all they need is Dante really. I much rather have the spot go to another series which would be excluded otherwise.

Either Lady or Virgil. Trish is a pretty lame choice when they could have gone with those two instead, IMO.

Lets talk about stages, as Kotaku recently had an interview on the subject:

http://kotaku.com/5522518/a-little-...otaku/full+(Kotaku)&utm_content=Google+Reader

"I can't name anything specifically," Baker explains, "but I can tell you that it's not just random stuff anymore. It's actually kinda themed stages to go along with Marvel and Capcom locations. The last one…they were kinda cool, but kinda random at the same time. It was like there was a pirate ship or something in one of them. They look cool, but they don't really say Marvel or Capcom. This time they're all going to say Marvel or Capcom in some way. "

Places Id like to see:

Marvel:

-Fight INSIDE the Daily Bugle. People panicking and running around inside, paper flying everywhere, Jameson yelling at people to take photos and shit
-X Mansion
-Genosha, post nukes
-Negative Zone (have like, a barrier surrounding the fighters or something)
-The Moon
-New York City streets
-Planet Hulk stage
-Latveria
-Skrull ship
-Madripoor (never gonna happen, lol)

Capcom:

-Dr. Willy's Lab
-Ryu's rooftop stage
-DMC stage (Gothic architecture)
-RE Africa stage (havent played RE 5, dunno if its actually Africa)
-Okami forest/landscape
-Monster Hunter Tri sea village (or Arena, either could work, although the village is better looking)
-Metro City

Fixed. Nero is not only the better character, his move set would be more interesting/applicable to a fighting game. :)

Not sure if this was posted yet. MvC3 producer blog

Basically he started a blog in Japanese about the development of MvC3 and Capcom US translated it.

BTW I think that Facebook page is fan made not an official one because it links to the fan made website.

Ah never mind then I was only told by a friend didnt check if it was from the official site.

Im, hoping for a lot of characters I dont recognize.... I love playing as weird sorta obscure characters un fighting games and MvC2 was full of em'

I'd like to see backgrounds that can house characters that have little shot in being playable like Wakanda (Black Panther) Attilian (Inhumans) Atlantis (Namor) Manhattan sewers (Morlocks) Savage Land (Ka-zar)

Marvel Stages:
- UTOPIA!
- SAVAGE LAND!

After that whole Ken vs. She-Hulk thing, you have no right to say what character works better.

As for Nero, I like the guy, but Virgil needs more love from Capcom.

The lack of Danger Room in your stages really makes me sad

Why do people always want something thats already been done? Im not being super original but at least its mostly something I havent seen in a vs. game.

The Danger room will be in for sure

Because i don't want "generic training stage" stage ... i want a TRUE danger room that the lost planet 2 engine can deliver ... think about Smash bros stages .. specialy star fox, wario ware and picto chat !

A stage that morphs in another stages .... something cool =D
Generic training stage ... than hologram for ... pixel art megaman stage... than hologram for re1 mansion ..... 30 stages in one xD

Obviously staying generic 2d flat plane .... you "classic fighter" people aren't ready for the awesome thing that is to choose a stage thinking of something more than "has an awesome music" =P

I hope we get some true iconic stages and not some weird obscure places like TvC. The stages in TvC looked great, but there were some really bizarre choices. i wouldn't mind HD re-imaginings of previous stages like CotA's Danger Room and E Honda's. Bathhouse (complete with breakable wall into the girl's bath :D ) I have the feeling we'll see a New York Rooftop like MvC1 and the trailer.

or bust :D

icy lost planet stage?

if the stages had annoying stuff going on in the background it would be cool to see the x mansion get torn apart.

If your standard round time is about 60 seconds, thats enough time to blow up the place at least twice!

Well thought I'd point out Gamefaqs have posted a couple "Who do you want to see?" polls. Yesterday was Marvel (Deadpool won by a LARGE Margin), today is Capcom and so far Dante is winning by a LARGE Margin.

Normally I wouldn't give two licks, but I figure Capcom might be keeping an eye on the results. I'm really surprised at Nightcrawler's popularity. I mean, he could be good if he had some fencing in his moveset. But wow.

You're surprised? He was bad ass in Xmen 2

Virtually guaranteed to be on PC, 360, PS3

Was there an official announcement?

Also, how well can an Nvidia Ion 2 with a good processor run Street Fighter IV? I'm thinking of getting a more compact PC, but I want it to run games as well.

Dante just seems like a character who has the popularity, the recognition and the moveset/ability set to be in a MVC game. It's a no brainer really, he is one of the few Capcom characters who can actually go toe to toe with a Marvel hero if there was an actual battle.

It's really sad that Capcom has so many potentially awesome characters in their universe but instead they are wasting so many slots on Darkstalker characters or SF characters. Jean/Devilhand from Godhand, Sieg Warheit from Chaos Legion, Date Masamune/Oda from Sengoku Basara, Zero from Megaman, Samanouske from Onimusha, Strider, Hayato, Jin Saotome etc. But instead they are going to put like 10 Street Fighter characters, 5 Dark Stalker characters then shoehorn the remaining characters from all the Capcom franchises in which 3 of them are from RE.

And yeah Nightcrawler is awesome, he should be in the game too.

It was only announced for Ps3 and 360 but given that its using MT Framework, the chances of a PC version popping up is really good

He wouldn't need fencing... it would be cool if he had a couple of fencing moves, but Nightcrawler is capable of tearing someone down barehanded with quick trans-dimensional hit-and-run tactics.

I guess I haven't read/seen enough Nightcrawler to really imagine it, but would be interesting to see Capcom adapt his teleportation into a fighter.

Yeah imagine if it was ported to PC, screw Costume DLC, fanmade costumes/textures galore! :D

I do not know if it could be balanced but a lot of cool moves could be done with fast teleportation. Capcom should make Nightcrawler near god tier in moves then just lower health and damage until it is fair.

Ugh, Maximo over Arthur. SMH GameFAQs.

Give him a good set of teleportationmoves that do little damage and take some skill to execute and one devastating teleportationmove that takes insane skill and timing to execute and you're set IMHO. Especially if you make them counter-able.
Imagine Hulk vs Nightcrawler, NC pulls a teleportation uppercut/somersault-combo-move, but as he pops out of teleportation, Hulk counters with a grapple and smashes NC into the ground.

Edit: For NC's one devastating teleportmove, I imagine him teleporting him unto his victim, and then quickly teleports in and out of this dimension, and ends with a teleport into the top of the screen, the victim drops to the ground and NC finishes it of with a dash down on his downed enemy.

He could teleport into the other character and burst out from their insides.

Honestly, Nightcrawler could probably get away with a fight style similar to Spider-man, quick hits. Maybe use the Teleport as the dash, and throw in some fencing moves as a super.

Oh! For an Ultra, let's see. Probably something similar to X2, teleport around the opponent and maybe drop them from a height.

Done and done.

Owh, and, it has been said in this thread before, I'm just re-iterating for great justice: Deadpool needs to break the fourth wall, or it isn't Deadpool.

I was seriously dissapointed in X-Men: Origins: Wolverine he didn't break the fourth wall once untill after the credit roll.

Stumbled on to this, BTW:

That needs to be in the game. Seriously.

What would you guys say to guest characters on each platform?

I would've thought it dumb in SSFIV, but I'd love to see some more guest cross-over in this game. Obviously from gaming franchises

It worked for Smash Bros. Brawl
