was already gonna do that but not for your reasons. simply because sega sucks these days. i'm gonna keep the plates tho and say someone "stole" them. :lol as far as the "bitch car" comments, you guys dont pay attention to which ones the women drive do you? almost every single time i see a female driving a mustang its a V6 or a V6 convertible. thats not a real damn mustang. V6=female version, GT=man power.

I prefer the classic one...

Bullit rocked...

ha, I was just about to post the same thing. Anyone that has seen Bullitt and does not agree that the modified GT390 he drove is not the greatest Mustang ever, needs to get beat the fuck down.

For the record though, the 68 Charger would "run circles around the Mustang" according to the mechanics that worked for the movie. Someday, I hope to be able to afford both cars. Then maybe a trip to San Franciso would be in order.

if you go for the sport stripes, then red, if you dont, then metallic silver.
personally i'd save the money and get a 69 mach 1 or a 65 fastback though.

Nah, the 67-68 fastbacks blow away the 65-66 ones. :p

But yeah, if I had the cash, I'd just buy a semi-restored 67-68 fastback, drop a 390 in there if it didn't have one, make it a GT clone, etc.

But I've already got three project cars I'm working on now. A '68 Chevy truck, a '66 Cadillac Fleetwood, and my '81 Cadillac, which was my daily driver, now needs some engine work and a new sound system. I couldn't really afford to buy a new car, since I couldn't keep up with those nasty monthly payments. My projects are going slowly.

i'm sure they do. but i like the way the 65 fastback looks a lot more. the 69 mach 1 is a different issue however ;)
for me, if i'm buying a classic muscle car, i'd sometimes go for the aesthetically pleasing choices over brutal horsepower.
i'd go for a 72 GTO over a 68 one for instance.
i'm more into aesthetics.

If you get it let me know how the car is. I am seriously considering this car despite Evilore's warnings. :0

I second this motion - the company I work for allows me to get a nice discount on all Ford models and I think the 'Stang is included.

The only thing I really dislike so far is the solid rear (but "LIVE" whatever that means) axle. Really disappointed in that. Also, I'm hoping it has a "functional" backseat and a slick shifter (probably wishful thinking there). I've been spoiled by the imports in regards to trick suspension and buttery smooth transmissions.

Paying MSRP for a Mustang is ludicrous. Wait, wait, wait.

Personally, if I were in your shoes, I'd be looking at a used G35 Coupe.

Sorry, I can see how what I said could have been interpreted that way. I meant that the 67-68 fastbacks blow away the 65-66's in terms of styling. But more power, yeah that too.

I think you're tastes are completely opposite of mine. I think the 72 GTO is pretty damn ugly, while the 68 is a decent looking car.

Everyone says that. G35Cs are played out. All show, no go. They may be quick, but dammit, the Stang is just that much quicker. Every Guido and every frigin Russian in Queens has a G35 Coupe. Infiniti shouldn't have mass produced them. I'm sick of seeing the car everywhere. :P

Last month I was stuck debating between a new Mustang or a G35, and what held me back from the G35 is the fact that every time I turn around I saw one. I'm such an indecisive bitch that I wound up getting nothing and decided to just wait.

I agree with the consensus on the black GT. You can't go wrong with an all black GT.

Shit, I haven't lived in Queens in 10 years. The times have changed. When I was there, every guido had a Mustang, and the russian's all drove Lincoln's.

Haha. Well, the older Russians are still rocking the Towncars. The younger Russians are rocking their dad's Lexus' and Infinitis. The Guidos, well...they've always been about the Stangs -- and don't forget that IROC Z28

black is definately out. i saw one today and it looked like shit because of the rain. you have to clean the damn thing every week to keep it clean, cleaning every week=swirls. BAH.

Come on, how are you gonna complain about seeing G35s everywhere and then recommend the next Mustang in the same breath? :lol

I'd rather be in a played out G35 Coupe than a played out Ford anything.

But hey, don't even say shit when you're 18 months into your financing, way upside down because of the suddenly-shitty resale values, and the parking lots at your job, local Best Buy, and favorite restaurant look like Ford dealerships :lol
