Which developers are you most excited to see more from this gen?

Whether 1st party or 3rd party, regardless of platform.

I'm eager to see and play the next title from these developers.

Square Enix's Creative Bussiness Unit 3. They did great job creating of one of the best Final Fantasy, i curious how their single player, offline version of it would be. I have high hope for XVI. They even get held back by weaker hardware for XIV, wonder what they can bring with stronger, next gen hardware with SSD in mind. Well, assuming that game is next gen only.

Edit: also with SSD in next gen console should help alleviate lot of technical hurdle of making big or open world game especially should helped them to put flying mount features in the game like airship.

343 Industries. If they release their next title and its another Halo 5, I'll be entertained by the reaction all over again. And, if they ever get it together and release something stellar, I'll be entertained by the first new, decent mainline Halo game in a decade. Win win.

I would love to see more devs ascend to the AAA level. I think thats why CDPR got their cult following

I'm excited for Obsidian's game. AAA game budget with more resources/backing and I think they can make magic

Bethesda, Valve, Rockstar, 𝙲̶̶̶𝙳̶̶̶ ̶̶̶𝙿̶̶̶𝚛̶̶̶𝚘̶̶̶𝚓̶̶̶𝚎̶̶̶𝚌̶̶̶𝚝̶̶̶ ̶̶̶𝚁̶̶̶𝚎̶̶̶𝚍̶̶̶,̶̶̶ Santa Monica Studio

Playground... Excited to see them make an non racing game and excited for a new Fable.

Guerrilla... They finally got a hitter with Horizon and can only imagine improvements after that confidence boost.

My #1 is 343i... I though infinite looked decent besides the freeze framing Craig and that other brute talking guy. But heads are definitely on the block and they will need prove themselves after fucking up Microsofts console launch. That and the fact they are no longer 1 of a couple studios since Microsoft became a juggernaut of 1st party studios. They have lots to prove.

Insomniac!!!
RatchetnClank, Spiderman 2 (PS5 Exclusive)

Also I would love a Resistance Reboot with a modern times/theme instead of WW2.

Remedy Entertainment! :lollipop_smiling_face_eyes:
And Bethesda, and CD Projekt Red still, and Obsidian, and Techland!

Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Sucker Punch, Guerilla, Rockstar

Would include Arkane, but they're under Bethesda, making their post Deathloop work exclusive to the XsX, which I have zero interest in. Same with Machine Games, sadly.

Capcom- Resident Evil whatever and Dragon's Dogma 2 which should be in the works. Aside from fighting games, which I do not care about anyways, Capcom is pretty consistent with games I enjoy.
Fromsoft - Elden Ring, of course, and whatever else they do.
Vanillaware - Whatever they do. Maybe start putting their catalog on PC?! Fucking Atlus has made the jump so they're basically the only 3rd party holdout at this point. Leaving money on the table...

Also, whoever pays Yoko Taro to work on a game. Super excited for Nier Replicant.

Rockstar Games by far. I know they only put out 1 game per generation since GTAV but both it and RDR2 were something special that no other game directly overlaps with so I can't wait to see what their game(s) of the next-generation will be like

GoW was incredibly overrated and far inferior to its predecessors on the PS2 and PS3. Can't really say I'm a fan of Santa Monica.

From Software - surely they will return to interconnected world from Dark Souls 1 any time now, right?....right guys?.....pretty please? :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Nintendo EPD - Breath of the Wild is game of the generation imo. It has very real shortcomings, but that this game exists is almost incredible and I can't wait to see how Nintendo plans to one-up this monumental achievement.
Nihon Falcom - As of last year, I am now a hardcore Kiseki fan and am trapped by both of Falcom's big franchises, doomed to buy literally everything they ever put out.
Gears for Breakfast
- A Hat in Time is the best platformer to come out in a decade, due in no small part to the charm around every corner of its design. I understand that the team at this studio is kinda burnt on platformers from the experience but whatever they work on next has my attention. I don't think we actually know anything though, but hopefully it comes soon :messenger_anguished:

EA Sports
Bandai Namco
Capcom

....

NHL
Madden
Tekken
Soul Calibur
Monster Hunter

Give me the new ish right into my veins plz.

Platinum just need to be acquired by Sony or Nintendo already!

They have been acquired by China already.

Otherwise my picks :
Sega (Sonic Team for the next Sonic game, and the team responsible for Valkyria Chronicles 4)
Namco Bandai (specifically the team responsible for Code Vein)
Mobius Digital (Outer Wilds)
Luminous Studio (Project Athia, but I will have to wait though, as I play on Xbox)
Team Ninja

Not setting my expectations on too many developers.

Ninja Theory - Now they've got In-House funding and backing

Sonic Team - I don't agree with the hate they get and their last few 3D Sonic games have been good to solid, hoping for a great Sonic to join with the film

Capcom RE 7 Team - RE 7 was my game of this generation, can't wait to see what that team can do on the next gen

Santa Monica Studio - If only to set the technical bar, like they do almost every gen

343 - I think Halo Infinite will be the best Halo game ever made

Codemasters - Can't wait to see what the new F1 game looks like on the next gen

Asobo Studios - Just to see what new tech this team comes up with

Massive Entertainment - Hoping for a Division 3 that finally matches the trailer of the 1st game when it was 1st revealed LOL

From Software. Elden Ring I think will be an all time classic. What do they move on to from there? Dark Souls 4? Sometimes completely new? As long as Miyazaki is involved I'm on board.

Respawn. I know they've said it's not happening, but I'd love to be onboard for Titanfall 3 day one.

Playground. Forza Horizon 5; Tokyo Drift? Hope they do amazing things with Fable.

SantaMonica, GG, PD, Naughty Dog, Kojima productions, Rockstar and Bethesda.

Runner up : Insomniac, Irrational Games.

Gonna echo those who said Playground. Forza Horizon 3 and 4 in particular are two of my all-time favourite racing game experiences. The sheer amount of content, customization, variety, depth, combined with creative DLCs and insanely gorgeous graphics running at 4K/60fps by now on the new hardware. Them tackling a legendary franchise like Fable is exciting, but perhaps even more exciting is them making a proper next-gen racer (Horizon 5, we assume) with all the nice tech involved. Imagine a Horizon 5 in Asia, night races with ray-tracing. Damn.

Konami, no serious I want a Metal Gear 1 and 2 remake. (the MSX games)

People always say that they want a MGS1 remake on the Fox Engine, but I think MG1 + 2 would be more suited. They would both play a lot more similar to Ground Zeroes, whereas MGS1s' level design and gimmicks, that make it that game, wouldn't translate well at all or even be represented properly through the Fox Engine.

A lot less room for butchering a classic too and you're better off re-imagining titles no one played and giving them some real perspective.
