Kind of slim pickings for me, as I decided not to bring a radio...so I'm limited to online stations. Right now, though, I'm loving the hell out of Virgin's stream that's listed on iTunes.

Between that, and WZIP - University of Akron, it's good music all day long around here.

I never listen to the radio, though I do download Stern to listen to at work.

The only radio station that I listen to is in limbo right now, the radio licence system here is a bit screwed up.

Untill they get a licence they will just stream out tracks on an internet only station with no DJs, but they still play some great stuff. http://www.phantomfm.com

DC 101 and 99.1 WHFS are the only tolerable stations here in the Chocolate City. Satellite FM or your own music is the only answer. I'd kill for a normal radio station that played electronic music exclusively (99.1 only plays electronic during their "Trancemissions" broadcast after midnight on Friday's and Saturday's).

I dont listen to music on the radio, mostly due to that usually its the same 10-20 songs repeated every hour...plus TONS of fucking commercials that suck. 2 songs, 20 minutes of commercials, 2 songs, 10 minutes of commercials...ughh. It sucks.

Talk radio is where its at. Its usually good for some entertainment. We have some pretty good ones here in Northern Ohio.

I used to listen/absolutely love KLAC talk radio here in LA, Gil Gross is my all time favorite talk radio host and Michael Jackson(no not the popstar) rocked too. They turned into a damn jazz station though, man did that suck. Now I'm stuck with either Bill Handle or NPR, I love that NPR show "Weekend becomes eclectic" I never would have heard of so many great alternative artists and band if it wasn't for that show.

Once they actually interviewed the guy who sung the song "Goin' Crazy" from GTA3, talk about obscure! :D

WFAN 660 AM Sports Radio
WXRK 92.3 FM KRock

I listen to the former for an hour or so everyday outside of listening to Mets games once in a while. The latter I only listen to sometimes.

sometimes i'll fire up 96.1/98.5/92.5 to hear the latest hits...

I will never understand this topic, and the others before it. Not sure if you guys know this (guffaw), but radio stations are regional. So when you post a radio station, 99.9% of the people that read this will not care or understand what you are talking about.

Not to threadcrap or anything....

106.7 kroq (unleashed horrors such as jimmy kimmel, carson daily, kennedy)
105.9 power (big boy and tito.. hahah)
570 klac (lakers)

oh yeah 103.1 is pretty cool too (if u can get it)

I don't listen to the radio, but I download MP3s of Howard Stern's show daily, put it on my iPod and listen to it on my 2 hour walk to work (or when I'm in bed).

Yup, at least when I'm at home on the east coast. I don't listen to any radio stations out here though.

103.3 The Edge(American)

102.1 The Edge(Canadian)

Anything Sports Talk, Buffalo lost its one FM station so I listen to the AM one 555 WGR

I love what 102.1 has done for 'indie' music in Canada. :) 103.3 Has way to many commercials :p

:lol
I listen to 93.7 KRock here in Pittsburgh... when I actually LISTEN to the radio of course. 93.7 is the new home of Howard Stern here too. They finally got rid of another kiddie pop/R&B/hip hop station and replaced it with a classic/modern rock one. The playlist kind of sucks, but hey, it's an improvement.

Anyway long live indie and/or unpopular bands. Mainstream radio sucks for the most part.

Wow! I'm glad you're hear to tell us the obvious. I thought FM waves traveled across oceans, they were so strong. ;)

For me:

90.1 WABE and 89.7 FM the NPR stations (mostly for Garrison Keillor, Michael Feldman, Green Island Radio Show(Celtic music), classical music and various odd programs they have).

750 WSB and 940 WMAZ for talk radio.

Music stations have been drab. 92.9 FM has changed from 70's rock music to 'rock' music of the 90's like Sheryl Crow, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. I like their music, but I can hear their crap on a dozen other stations. :p The only dedicated 70's music outlet is gone. The Oldies station changed from 97.1 to 105.7, but I can't get a good reception from the new station. Basically all that's left is Top 40, recent pop/rock and country stations.

BTW I love listening to AM stations, trying to find stations from different parts of the country. I've gotten 720 and 780 AM from Chicago. Stations from Louisana, Cincinnati, New York, Fort Wayne, Indiana, etc. I think that's kind of fascinating, but I can only get them late at night.
