My friends who worked at Nestle always said Canadian and UK chocolate are way better. The US bars use shittier ingredients. They never said why, so maybe it's a cost cutting thing or a regulations issue where other countries have higher food standards.
But I'd guess a combo of both.
Often times getting things approved (edible or medical) is a lot tougher in Canada than the US parent company where FDA is easier to appease. I wouldnt be surprised if European standards are higher than US too.
As for Krackel, I've only seem them in mini size occasionally in Halloween bundles. Same bundle that would have something called Mr Goodbar too.
