The Trump administration is actively exploring options to remove controversial national security aide Sebastian Gorka from the White House and place him at another federal agency, multiple sources tell The Daily Beast.
Two senior administration officials familiar with the situation say it is exploring a new role for Gorka elsewhere in the administration. Another said he has been entirely excluded from day-to-day policy-making at the National Security Council in the meantime.

According to two senior administration officials, the White House has been seeking a position for Gorka that does not require a security clearance. One said it was looking to classify him as a member of the federal government’s senior executive service.

"Kicking out" as in out of his current department and into another doesn't really strike me as the kind of thing you'd do to an exposed charlatan with a fake degree and Nazi background.

It's not clear that he was ever granted a security clearance in the first place. But yeah, if his clearance is a problem he kind of has to leave his current position. It's not really a great sign that they're trying to find a different job for this loon.

Just a slow fall towards normalcy in American politics. It's incredibly frustrating that people like Gorka and Bannon were given any legitimacy let alone key positions in a presidency, but at least things are ever so slightly getting better.

Sebastian Gorka, deputy assistant to President Trump, will soon accept a position outside the White House, two sources told the Washington Examiner on Sunday.

Gorka's new role will deal with the "war of ideas" involved in countering radical Islamic extremism, a senior administration official said, and will entail an appointment to a federal agency.

Gorka has served for months on the Strategic Initiatives Group, an internal organization within the White House, and as a national security adviser. His exit from the White House comes amid increased speculation that a reported lack of a security clearance prevented him from fully performing in his job.
