Who got a 5090-5080? post in this thread

I'm trying to build a small form factor pc build with a newly acquired 5090 FE and 9800X3D in the Ncase M2 case. What is a good mini ITX mobo that would pair well that's good price to performance and "future proofs" with the rest of my build? Also thinking about extra fans that'll fit i the case but not sure what mini ITX mobo has a good amount of fan ports. Any help with this is much appreciated thank you!

I've watched so many of his videos which inspired me to want to do a build in this kind of sff case to begin with lol. But I've already locked in an M2 Round, just trying to see if anyone has built in that particular case before and what their build looks like. I've also heard an inverted build with the 5090 fe is best since it helps with gpu thermals in the m2 so I'm trying to go for that layout instead a vgpu layout using a riser. I would like to not use a riser cable at all tbh

Any Mini ITX would sufficie since they are mostly bottlenecked of features. If you wanted a future proof MOBU it would have to be an ATX or EATX X870E.

Could always slap some magnetic 140mm/280mm dust filters on on the intakes.

Got my prebuilt 5080/9800x3d computer today, earlier than expected.
Did some setup & installed software + some games. Ratchet & Clank looked insane with high settings, RT & framegen. 190-250fps. Quite a leap from playing it on the old 1080. I'll remove the disks from the old machine later/tomorrow.

One thing I was not prepared for was the GPU being such an absolute unit. It's fk'n HUGE.

I mean to be honest. I am kinda happy with the 5080 OC. out of the box performance its really close to me with the 4090 ( at least for the games I play ). . it also has multi-frame-gen ( which is awesome by the way in cyberpunk. ray tracing everything ulta and close to 200 frames ? ill take it ty very much ) and temps wont go above 59 degrees for me. really lucked out with this card in terms of noise and thermals. i believe some sites reported 64 degrees. mine even in cyber punk is not that high.

Please tell him to reserve it ( if possible ) or to let you know it is coming. I highly doubt Best Buy will ship me anything and with the looming tariffs, I expect preorders to be canceled too due to the price difference. unless they already received the cards in Canada but have not been processed yet.

even the 5080 and other cards will see a price increase very soon here.

Well, the Astral died so so maybe you weren't getting the performance you should've had before it stopped working. :messenger_winking_tongue:

Personally, I'd want an Asus 5090 for the 12VHWPR pin monitor to see if the cable is faulty or not.

I used the same corsair cable as my 4090…I like living dangerously
 
Got a new 5090. The Asus Tuf Gaming OC.
Had the MSI gaming trio, but sold it a while back. (For same price as I brought it, fuck scalpers)
 
I did cause I'm a dumbass and sold my 4090 for profit not realizing stock would be terrible, but I got the exact one I wanted:

Same here. same PSU. Not gonna change it either. it was working fine before and its still.

Also. Sorry about Astral, Nice you got another card.

I was able to get TUF 5090 from CC. Super Happy. temps depending on the game but for me the max it reached at was 73 or 74 on silent bios. 63/64 on performance bios. But that's because I was playing CyberPunk for an hour everything ultra including PT DLSS Quality.

if I play Call of Duty temps around 59 to 61
 
I joined a premium stock tracker.

I got a hot tip MSI dropped stock 8am for a ventus oc.

I got there about 2 mins late but it was up. Despite adding 5 on accidnet, making an account, bank verification, and a slow but functional website, I secured an order on a bundle with some 1250w MSI PSU.

The drops contained Sunday and the website imploded, but I secured an order!

Got all my parts in and ready to build in the Ncase M2 Round. Final thing: Should I got for an inverted build or just stick to classic? This is for a 5090 FE/9800X3D w/ Thermalright Mini Assassin air cooler fyi
 
Still waiting to see if I ever get a Nvidia email for a 5090, in the meanwhile been playing around with my 5080. The thing puts in nasty work if you undervolt and overclock it. Getting diet 4090 performance in Cyberpunk.

I did a wombo combo and got myself a 5080 and a new INZONE M10S. Finally I will be able to feel those sweet sweet 480Hz.

i hopped here with less pro, i know thread is about 5080-90. but got this few days, ago even i promised myself i dont buy these overpriced stuffs, but beer does what it does UWU almost 1.2K € uhhh

There's a shit ton of them today when looking at canada computers. All in store not online which imo is better and more anti-scalper.

Seems the craze is mostly over or winding down a lot it seems.

yeah plenty of cards in canada. 5090 not so much but there are at least 1 or 2 cards in each town almost.

the rest are everywhere.

thank god this horror is over. i am sick of scum people listing 4080s for 1500$ Canadian used. or 4090 for 3k.

what a bunch of sad losers..

glad I have an 5090 FE. working like a charm.
