man! I don't recall videogame news being almost completely DEAD for over a week. not that there hasn't been some good news posted on GAF, but the major websites have had a PAINFUL lack of news. even though it was the holidays, i dont remember news coming to a virtual crawl for over a whole week. hopefully tomorrow being the first Monday of the new year, we'll see some cool news. we have CES coming up on Wednesday too, so hopefully we'll get word of Xbox Next. oh man I can't wait. this year is gonna be fucking great as far as videogames.

For some odd reason the big video game news always seems to be announced on tuesdays id ont know why it is this way but it is. So you might have to wait a day. sry

They're dead because they aren't running yet. Most gaming sites take a full 2 weeks off for xmas.

There's always a big-ass thread in January (2003 GBASP, 2004 DS) - we must just be patient.
I predict this year's big-ass thread will either be the PSP or the Xbox2.

im hoping that in a little less than 2 weeks from now we'll be feasting on mounds of xbox2 news.

The anticipation of Denis Dyack's comment about the Silicon Knights and Nintendo.

When did Denis stop posting?

Must have been some time in my year long gaf sabbatical.

The news drought was expected for me. Every time a slew of big games comes out this seems to happen afterwards. Halo 2, HL2, MGS3, RE4, etc, all coming out within a relatively short period of time-- I expected things to go dry for awhile.

DenisDuckFat is Denis Dyack
He stopped posting because the industry kept making racing games.

I've recently been introduced to a strange phenomonen of actually playing games, a reversal of the last couple years

Now that's just creepy.

Don't worry though. CES will cure you.

I Know DenisDuckFat is Denis Dyack i just wanted to know when he stopped posting, he had the best avatars i still remember that spoiler one! :lol

The Gates keynote at CES should kickstart 2005's news in good fashion. I'm almost sure Xbox2 will appear in some form or another :)

Yep! I love when the news ramps up!

I'm looking foreward to Denis Dyack's return. Last I read, he posted at the GCN GB over at IGN to say "see you in the new year", which is when IGN said we'd hear more about their future stuff too. So we've got that in the coming months.

Being a UK resident, I'm heavily interested in DS and PSP launch dates and pricing, which is imminent too.

Xenon information should hit sometime soon too.

At E3, we'll have info on all three consoles for sure. Nintendo's machine is potentially the most exciting one for me.

I hope we get a demo reel or something of next gen games. I really wanna see what's happened to Too Human, if anything, along with Mario 128 and many other games.

So far I know he'll do a presentation of Forza, but I still do not have any confirmation of Xenon there.

They're wheeling Gates out to do a presentation on Forza? Even if there's more to it than that, I just really can't imagine Gate's himself pushing one single game like that, even if it's amongst other Microsoft product.

The Xbox site also has a headline on it now "CES 2005: Future Tech" which might hint at something more in terms of hardware..
