Hank Pym
Reed Richards
Tony Stark

In that order.
I'm off by a few years on my marvel stats, but pym was only really given lip service for years. Are they really playing him as smarter than reed now? Wow.

It used to be the "A List" was:
Reed, Stark, Pym, Banner, Doom, Beast. Maybe karnov from the inhumans. Also Amadeus Cho.

Peter Parker used to get lip service a lot for having potential. Marvel had unfortunately abandoned that. Perhaps Dr. Strange whenever somebody abstract was needed.

Black panther is like batman. They don't count. They're crafty by necessity of coolness and whims of the plot.

On the DC SIDE, wasn't it always Luthor, Ted Kord, Barry Allen, mr. Terrific, im sure somebody at STAR labs...

Oh and brainiac dude from the legion

What? He worked a think tank AND now owns one. He created anti anti metal and discovered his own particle. He created a device to snatch Sandman's soul using a smartphone.

Thrilled to hear that! I gave up on most comics and giving up on spidey stung the most because for a while there, it seemed like Marvel was dumbing him down. 616, ultimate, and cinematic u seemed to downplay his cleverness (which is why I loved the character), And play up his Everyman and bad luck.

Did they bring that back into his fighting? Back in the thought balloon days, he'd quip aloud, but internally he was both worried and formulating plans (often scientifically rooted) to defeat the foe...

I think a lot of that was delved into in Superior Spider-Man, in that Peter really wasn't living up to his potential on a lot of levels.

Doom.

You don't stand in his way, you get utopia. You stand in his way, you'll eventually get utopia shoved down your throat.

Reed, on the other hand, has a tendency to go bananas.

Pretty confident it's Reed Richards.

Doom is up there, as is Bruce Wayne and Hank Pym.

But soon Valeria Richards will overtake them all.

The problem with smart characters is that they're only as smart as their writers, so frequently the only reason readers know they're smart is because they specifically say that they're the nth smartest person in the world.

DC typically doesn't do that, so it's really impossible to compare the two universes.

The problem with super genius characters is that they always delve into pseudo-science and gimmicky nonsense. I would like to see the Futurama guys (who themselves have physics PHD's) tackle a serious science hero

Duh

That would be a very short and miserable tale called "adventures in getting grants".

Panther is in the top eight smartest, though. He's there building world-destroying bombs with the rest.

Internal thought balloons are a dying art.

Lol at Stark, he's not even the smartes of the Avengers.

Yep
