The artist for both MGS2 and ZOE2 are the same, Yoji Shinkawa if I'm not wrong. Also, they're both Kojima's game, no?
Did you know ZOE2 has the same L2, R2 interactions as MGS2 during Codec Conversations, ZOE2 has a lot in common with MGS2Kojimbo was just a producer. Hard to tell how much influence he had. Might've been a lot, might've been a little.
Yes, it says "VR compatible", not required!I'm a poor fucker; Can you play it without VR?
Alright, then I will buy it as well! Thanks, man!Yes, it says "VR compatible", not required!

Ah, that's good to know. But I'm similar to you in that respect. Those mechas just look too awesome not to play in 3rd person!Keep in mind the first person cockpit mode requires a vr headset. So you can play without vr but itll have to be in normal 3rd person.
Which is fine with me cuz the mechs in this look amazing but just an fyi.

I'm boycotting this game. Why the heck didn't they release ZOE1 first or rather alongside? Dumb Konami fucks...
ZOE 1 was verrry short. It seemed like more of a tech demo for the glorious ZOE 2 to come. I'll probably pick this up at some point and revisit. It's an incredible game, and the story is fantastic.
Based on some time with the demo, the PC port seems like definitive version material but the VR stuff doesn't feel great. Lots of immersion-breaking swaps to a flat theater view for cutscenes, and the gameplay just doesn't work all that well in first-person. Situational awareness is an entirely different beast without a pulled-back viewpoint and it ends up feeling a bit too chaotic. Also the performance didn't seem great on my 1080, but that could have been my oculus software needing a restart or not liking the SteamVR implementation.
It's a cool idea and you could certainly do a really good ZoE VR thing, but it'd have to be built from the ground up for the medium. Loving the fact that we have an enhanced PC version of the non-VR stuff though.
There's an animated hologram of Jehuty in the cockpit that mostly mirrors what it would be doing in third-person, but it's not really the same. And for whatever reason, some animations like the spinning throw are slower and less flashy.
Getting it soon, trying to play a bit of DQ XI first.
Amazed noone has asked... how's the Cock-pit view on VR??![]()
Take a look at the demo posts in the board, plenty of comments about it. You can also look a couple of posts above yours...
I would like to check it out eventually, but I'm gonna be busy with DQ11 for awhile, and after, I'd like to pick up Spiderman.
If only you were an Xbox player. You would have no choices.
