Finally giving Arise the attention it deserves, it was a casualty of being hooked to Destiny for 10 years that I finally broke free from but that's another story for another day, but I have been playing Tales of games since the ps1 days, however it really became the staple in my life when Symphonia landed on gamecube.
But I remember in IGN and VN boards, just in my travels how people always said oh well they're good but we aren't going to see many more, it was the constant narrative and I kept saying but we simply continue to get them. Every release it seemed it was always doomed. I remember always having to say but we got another, and another... And it just felt going on over the 2000s that Tales was just not a big enough series to last and here we are.
That's going back 20 years now and it's incredible how it's such a staple series now and has always been.
But I am loving Arise, they really landed something special here. The gameplay is tight, the graphics are so clean vibrant and crisp,I love the style they went with even tho I love the more classic Tales type games like Grace's F which the remaster is going to be a fun ride as well.
But basically just wanted to give a nod to the series and how long it's been around, and looking forward to more Tales games as the years go by.
