Who will own TGS?

Nintendo-logo.jpg

Prepare yourself for the next 5 years big N's reign :lol

the big winner is us this year, we have 3 companies, all giving it their all to win our money. As much as people hate Microsoft they didn't make a pc in a box this time, they made a console, as expensive as the PS3 is goign to be, the games it can handle will be phenominal, and lastly nintendo has been the forefront of innovation for years love them or hate them for it, its the truth.

So who's the big winner, us.

This answer is boring. Pick a side. :P

Nintendo's gonna devastate everyone and their mothers with Mario Party 7. Mark my words.

If the 16th Revolution spotlight is gonna be a reality its hard to see it being anyone but Nintendo in the bulk of the spotlight. Potential for glory or disaster. Either way the forum and the internet in general will be bursting at the seams..

Sony would have to have some INCREDIBLE stuff to overshadow it. I think they're gonna be great, but not "big news" great... I expect we'll get what we expect.

Microsoft.. I dunno. TGS could be a good barometer of whether they're gonna get reamed again in Japan.

Sony.

Nintendo is still in their pre hype stage and have awhole year to continue their smoke and mirrors crap. For them it will be all about the DS. If they do decide to show off the Revolution and controller then...I really don't know why. N-fans are biting at the bits and gnawing off limbs in anticipation and yea they should on all accounts be helping Sony to stifle whatever chance MS does have in Japan but if Sony comes guns blazing, like most people think, then it will just be competing with that hype. They may be better off just waiting till the next E3 to really show it off and have the whole damn show to themselves and just own it. Make this TGS all about the DS for them I say.

MS try as they might still do not have a launch lineup that resembles anything the japanese market will give a shit about. RR will not be enough so if they are smart they will show more of FFXI, Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon and just concentrate on whats too come.

If Sony is holding to their Spring launch then they need to both 1)show off more of their PS3 and get some trailers for titles out there and 2) crush any hype MS can pull off for the japanese market by letting people know "Hey buddy, the PS3 is coming out soon, save your money for what you really want" or something like that. MGS4 is a great start but if Sony is the marketing machine which I think most people can at least give them that, then you know they will have more then just that to show off. And of course a small nook somewhere for the PSP, as usual *le sigh*

I think Nintendo will win, but I'm curious to see if M$ can continue buying their way into the Japanese market. I mean if they shovel enough money at Japanese developers who knows what coudl happen.

I'm hoping the PS3, and especially MGS4, just blow everything away. I also really hope to see a resurgence in PSP software, with the unveiling of a lot of great looking, high profile games.

I want to hear more about the Rev. I just hope Microsoft doesn't unleash the megaton money hats and lock up Dragon Quest. Considering how their master plan has been unfolding of late, they must be scrambling to do something.

Reggie Fils-Aime. He won't be giving a speech, but I know we'll get one reference to him or a sound clip. Or an after-event interview. He always pwns.

Do the Japanese even know who he is?

Nintendo could send Miyamoto on the stage, have him discreetly pass wind, cough, and leave. And GAF would create a 256 page thread about how Nintendo dominated.

Probably sony, just because they still have bigger names on their side. But, at the same time I'm tired of the same games over and over, I need some new IP's up in this mug. =)

This isn't like E3 when MGS2 was sprung on us, the unsuspecting public. So, with that in mind. Ridge Racer 6 will be game of the show, since this is a Japanese-centric event. My GotS is still up in the air

Trumping any news coming out of TGS, Sony reveals not 1 but 5 super secret high profile PSP titles set for staggered release between now and december to prove they haven't given up on JP yet.

......

......

Bwahahaha, i typed that with a straight face.

If Ridge Racer 6 looks close to the RR Type 4 Intro I will be estatic.

Game of the Show - Ridge Racer 6

Biggest Wow or Dissapointment depending on how much Kojima shows MGS4.

When did Ridge Racer become GoTS material? I mean it's usually good and sells well, but come on, GoTS predictions for it?

Yeah, I'll be pretty fucking dissapointed if Ridge Racer is the best thing at TGS.

Nintendo, if they decide to kick some ass with Revolution and a really awesome looking Mario 128 demo.

PS3 and MGS4 next, if they show some good stuff from the game.
