Who would have the greater legacy in terms of discoveries, accomplishments. Nathan Drake or Indiana Jones

Mister Apoc

Demigod of Troll Threads
taking the canon 3 Indy films and the 4 Uncharted games (yes the 3 indy films and nothing else)

Indiana's 3 main discoveries are:

The Sankara Stones, The Ark of the Covenant, and the Holy Grail

Nathan Drake's 4 big discoveries tended to be ancient cities. his 4 main discoveres we can say are:

El Dorado, Shambhala, Atlantis of the Sands, Libertalia

Of course we can factor in the minor discoveries like Drake with the Cintimani stone or Indy with the Chachapoyan Fertility Icon etc. Now factoring this all in. Drake's discoveries seem to be again lost cities while Indy's were mythical artifacts. I feel like in terms of the media. Indy being an accomplished accademic while Nathan is just a graverobber, treasure hunter would also factor into this

what set of discoveries do you view as more impressive?

Indiana Jones basically proved that the omnipotent Christian God exists and that Christianity is the one true religion. A couple of cities can't really compare.

OP writing Indy's discoveries in the right chronological order.

Nate had to kill a lot more dudes to find his shit, so his probably.

The Ark and the Grail being real would lead to world wars 3 through 10. It would change humanity forever.
So would whatever that blue super soldier serum was in Uncharted 2, and fast acting the hyper drug in U3.

U2’s final act was annoying in any difficulty above normal, having to empty the entirety of my ammo reserves just to hopefully take out 2-3 of those blue guys at best, while they can kill you in only a few hits.

The game’s genius way of balancing around this was by handing the player even more guns and ammo lol.

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
The Ark of the Covenant is one of the most destructive weapons in existence and it's divinely powered.

Sankara Stones can basically manipulate reality when they're all put together I think?

Indiana Jones discovered many more treasures than just the ones in the films and actually retrieved some of them for museums. While being a forgotten old man by the end of his life, he achieved many great things and was recognized for it. If you think about it, proving God and Aliens exist and travelling through time has a bigger impact.

Nathan Drake largely discovered ancient biological and chemical weapons and left a wake of lost cities that were further destroyed. He usually walked away empty handed or with just enough to fund his next venture.

Overall, Indiana Jones beats Nathan Drake in terms of greater legacy.

I feel equal. Nate needs to rely on 3rd party information which could be mostly rumors. Indy has access to legitimate foundations and other scholarly groups. However, Nate has no red tape because he follows no rules so he has immediate access as opposed to Indy which has to go through tremendous amounts of red tape. I took an anthropology class in college. It killed a lot of preconceived notions I had. You may discover something and find you have 1 month to find out what you can. Also, what you discover is not yours but the country it belongs to. So pulling something you found at the site and bringing it back with you is stealing.

You lot need to read Carl Bark's and Don Rosa's Scrooge if you want more action adventure like this. Scrooge's findings eclipses Indy's, Drake's, and Lara's combined.

Laura has an animated TV show, and Young Indiana Jones has a TV show.
Drake has 1 movie that looks like a TV show episode.

You could argue the same for both, Indy lost both the Ark and Holy Grail. Each walked away with smaller treasures.

I mean you could literally take out entire armies with the Ark. As much as I love him, I think Nate's greatest discovery was a tree sap that mutated you and made you strong.
