What is weightless, can be seen by the naked eye and if you put it in a barrel, it'll make the barrel lighter?

I already know this one, so I won't contribute to it, but I quite like it.

Okay I got one:

I have millions of eyes, yet am shrouded in darkness
I have millions of ears, yet only 4 lobes
I have no muscles, yet I rule two hemispheres

What am I?

My gut says
the human brain
, but I'm not really satisfied with the "millions of eyes/ears" in the context of that.

Three men go to a hotel and each rent a room. The owner says it will be $10 and all 3 pay. Afterwards, the owner realizes there was supposed to be a special of 3 rentals for $25 dollars. The owner cannot break a 5 between the 3 of them, so he decides to keep 2 of the $5 and return $3 to the 3 customers. This is effectively returning $1 to each customer, meaning they each paid $9 each.
$9 * 3 = $27
$27 + $2 the owner kept = $29

Where did the extra dollar go?

This is really really annoying me.
I get that 30 - 5 = 25, then 3 back to the guys and 2 to the owner means the dollar isn't lost. But per the riddle the guys got a dollar back each, bringing their total paid, as far as they are concerned, to 27, plus the two the owner kept. Can anyone give me an explanation on this? It's driving me crazy. My head just can't make it work, They have to have paid $9.33 each.... somehow

The room cost $25 not $30 so the actual calculation should be 3*$9=$27 MINUS the $2 owner kept=$25 (since the owner kept the $2 it is an extra cost so should be subtracted not added)

stupid question.
each of them paid $9
but $25 is the important figure here. they should have paid 8.33 each but paid 1.66 extra.
only 1 is returned. therefore .66-.33=0.33 is what they lost.
where did the dollar go?
9+9+9+2+0.33x3=30

its here itself. the question is just mixing up the before and after and there being two different 0.33's to confuse you

"What is weightless, can be seen by the naked eye and if you put it in a barrel, it'll make the barrel lighter?" ... What, have I stumped everyone so easily?

Light, it's weightless, can be seen by the naked eye, and if you shine a light in a barrel, then the barrel will be more lit than before.

I got a few so-so riddles:

1) Nothing that has a name, fill me and I am slain. What am I?

2) In the morning, I am on fire. At noon, an ocean sapphire. Come evening, I burn again, but at night, I wear only gems. What am I?

3) Some greet me very warmly. Some kick and scream and beg. I don’t know when I’ll meet you, but it’s always at the end. Who am I?
