And another TV music moment I don't like is when they play the "sad song" at the end of cop shows, dramas, etc. Shouldn't the writing and acting be enough to properly convey the necessary emotions without the

music?

I agree with you about the "sad song" in dramas. Feels so manipulative. And for me, the fact that I'm supposed to feel sad makes me feel less sad.

I'm not sure how a pic of a nerdy lesbian with a tummyache connects to that, but ok.

Yeah, I've complained about it before. Its especially annoying when the original score was really good and fitting for the series. The only potentially logical explanation I can think of for them playing retarded music every second of every episode is that when they have to cut stuff for television, they also have to cut the songs, and it would sound very awkward to have songs stop suddenly or the music to play on during a scene where it wasn't originally used. I believe they cut off about a minute and a half (maybe more) for Saturday morning stuff because the shows actually air a little bit longer in Japan. Of course, if they weren't making retarded edits in the first place....

Also, there can't be anything more embarassing than being in the 4Kids Five, the in-house band that 4Kids uses to come up with retarded music for their shows. Those "music videos" they show during commercial breaks on FOX are just sad.

I complained about this a couple months ago. Fox box is horrible for this, it actually gives me a headache to watch saturday morning cartoons for more then an hour, between the excessive advertisments, the cartoons, the fox box hosts and awful blaring rap music which accomponies them... I think it's like that old calvin and hobbes strip, the kids who watch all this stuff are so overstimulated that they need ADDesigned cartoons just to watch all this stuff.
