WHY DOES NINTENDO MAKE NEW DS COLORS? IT'S SO CHILDISH!

Here it is.
OK, I know Nintendo is a kid friendly company, but do they always have to come out with the complete line-up of colors? It really just gets to be overkill.

I posed a question here dumbass.

you made a topic to ask this: "but do they always have to come out with the complete line-up of colors?"

???
one look at the weeks where they did release new colors sales data should answer that.

Great way to revitalize sales. Simultaneous release of new color + hot game(s) = mad $$$. Been working for Nintendo since the GBC and N64 eras, and hell, even Sony and MS have done it at times, though perhaps in more limited fashion. Sony will be doing it with the PSP, however, on a larger scale, I'd warrant.

It's just that Nintendo seems to be the only ones to ever do so. If it increases sales so much how come Sony never makes new colors? With every system Nintendo does this, and (i guess) it works. What I'm trying to ask here is why doesn't anyone else follow Nintendo's precedent?

But Sony does release other colours? I clearly remember a blue PS2, and I think there was a white one, too.

Yes, why won't Sony & Microsoft release their own 1st-party wireless controllers as well? Logitech's raking in their doe...

Man, damn all of you. I was bored and just trying to entertain myself. Didn't have to attack me for that. And how and who changed the thread title?

Silver PlayStation goes on sale

PS2 silver
Silver is the new black for PlayStations
Sony is to release a satin silver version of its slimline PlayStation 2 games console on 13 May.

The Japanese tech giant has released many different iterations of the world's leading games console in the last five years. (OMG :lol )

With some people now waiting for the next generation of machines, the new version is seen as a way of boosting sales of the PS2.

The silver PS2 retails for ÂŁ114.99 in the UK (with black DVD remote control).

mas9055: Why does Nintendo make new colors? It's fucking annoying.

*picture of white PS2*

mas9055: OH SHIT AWESOME!!

*RE4 vs. SH4 (whose handle should not be changed regardless of baseless whining) shakes head*

Nintendo makes new colors. Teh innovation.

Was hot pink one of Nintendo's recent inventions? Did Miyamoto do it? He's so brilliant.

Shit, you're right.

Sony stole the idea of hot pink! I can't stomach it either.

Multiple colors = teh kiddie.

Choices = teh kiddie.

Democracy = teh kiddie.

Communism = teh mature.

The real question is: Why do early adopters get royally screwed over for choice of colours? The answer, of course, is because they can be, but that doesn't make it right.
