Why hasn’t Oblivion Remastered been patched yet?

They are waiting for modders to fix it, its the Bethesda way. It took several months for them to launch a patch after a game breaking bug literally brought down performance to 1 fps on the ps3 in skyrim and the vampire quest bug that prevented you from progressing.

Because Bethesda lets the community do most of the work after launch

This unofficial patch (for the original game) was updated over the course of 18 years.....

If they didn't patch original game bugs during development, I doubt they have any intention to patch them afterwards either.

At most you might get some performance improvements to reduce stutter but that's about it.

The game is beautiful but every time it hitches loading a new chunk, you can almost hear UE5 and Gamebryo talking to each other. I don't think that's entirely fixable.

Maybe they've already moved on to the next remaster and just left a skeleton crew to patch things up over the next few months

It's a Bethesda game. They do patches once every 6 months and they break as many things as they fix, in order to keep the balance.

I bought Skyrim on ps3 6 months after the patch that was supposed to fix the big performance issue (that took ages to be released) and it still was an unplayable mess!

You'll have to wait a year or two and even then it's not guaranteed that the performance will ever be fixed properly.

Where do these people come from? How are they brought into existence? Next they're gonna ask why their slop isn't more expensive than 80 nuggets.

Didn't DF report the game's performance slowly gets worse and worse as you play on a save file? That needs to be fixed first.
That honestly sounds about right. I got to around 10 hours and it started to fuck around and crash etc. I love the game but have absolutely no desire to boot it up again until there are some patches to help solve these issues.

I should have fucking known better though to be honest. As soon as they said UE5 on top of Creation Engine, I should have immediately known that this was going to be a train wreck performance wise.

Its a feature, + u just close the game/restart the console and when u start back from that save performance is back to normal, only gets visibly worse after few hours/lots of traveling around, maybe its memory leak, maybe something way worse.

i just want them to patch out the annoying graphical glitch i get with fire ember sprites, its got a wee bloody line through em and looks terrible

Bethesda (Creation Engine) games are seemingly hard to patch. Add a layer of UE5 graphics on top of the zombified corpse of a Gamebryo game, and you're going to be waiting for fixes.

This is Bugesda's mo. Hell the original oblivion only had 1 dungeon designer doing most of the dungeons, 10 people to voice the entire game, and bugs were not fixed for a long time if ever.
Skyrim had backward flying dragons and a memory leak that would cause save files to expand and bork your save (ps3 version at least).

Bethesda is known for being cheap/stingy and being arrogant about it (well it may be better now, the arrogant part as Pete Hines was part of the reason for that and he is retired).
They don't like providing info, they take forever with patches.

I get patches needing to be tested thoroughly in a game like this with radiant ai and level scaling, but graphic and performance patches shouldn't take as long to test.
