Why hasn’t Oblivion Remastered been patched yet?

Started this game this weekend.

Graphically absolutely stunning, however once you've left the sewers and entered the open world it's immediately apparent that there's serious frame rate issues.

It's admirable that the foliage is so dense and plentiful but I can only imagine it's what's causing the game to struggle.

I can handle 30fps no problem but this is everytime you turn the camera.

Base PS5 - I'll probably persevere but it is immersion breaking.

Game runs like crap on a high end PC as well. I stopped playing a few hours in as I can't stand stutter.

Im surprised that ps5 patch we just got didnt include performance updates xbox got like 3 days after release. I still like the game, but its annoying with stuttering and drops in forest areas

I am using an optimized UE5 config with XeSS set to Quality and largely mid settings and it runs great. Looks amazing too with a custom reshade.

I have a 4090, 4070 and a 5080 in various setups and the game stutters like a retard in open areas on all my systems.

Config edits do very little to nothing in the way of smoothing out stutter in my experience.

You must be lucky because for 99% of people the game runs like shit.

I also set the program in Graphics Settings to prioritize High Performance and turn off control flow in exploit protection by default. My i7-11700KF CPU with 6700XT GPU is relatively modest in the grand scheme of things.

The frame pacing and stutter is terrible in open areas. No amount of fucking with your system will solve it to any sort of acceptable level for most people. Unless they updated it and fixed it in the last few weeks, I've not played it in a while.

I'm happy that you can put up with it though.

I have a 13900K+4090+32GB of VRAM and aside from the hiccups when entering a new cell, it's alright. Not perfectly smooth, but it's far from horrible or unplayable.

I don't need to put up with anything. I optimized settings and it runs well.

I just hate stutter drags me right out of the game. I'll give it another shot at some point, I believe they said a patch is in the post.

The performance patch hasn't come out yet. There should be one before the end of the month.

Ugh I've been wanting to get it for my new PC or PS5 Pro but this stutter needs to be fixed before I buy it.
I just tested again and it still sucks. If you can be arsed with endless tweaking you might get it to run a little better like the poster above but I prefer my games to run somewhat decently out of the box these days, like KCD2 for example.

I'd recommend waiting for the performance patch.

I put this on ice thinking it would be patched up by the time I was done with expedition 33. Should have known better.

Good thing nightreign is more than occupying me though.

I'm loving Nightreign, it's so darn good. Imagine what FromSoft could do with this format if they build a game from the ground up for this type of concept. Oof.

If folks keep blindly buying things and paying for buggy messes, these companies will never learn.

They know they can release a broken game and maybe patch it later if there's enough of a fuss, but also maybe not.

The best thing is that no one forced them to release it in broken state, game wasn't even announced and TES6 is years away. They could have taken way more time, migrate to the latest engine version etc. (with way better CPU optimization). But MS wanted to respects tradition of releasing broken games.
