Are you all talking about the Japanese experimental noise artist Merzbow? I like it, but wouldn't exactly call his stuff "classic rock."

Brilliant stuff. Which in turn reminds me of the majestic grace and epic song structures of early Swans. Surely worth a listen for any fan of classic rock'n roll.
