Games like Otogi and Onimusha have had me thinking about this as well. Not Thor the comic book guy, Thor the norse god. Vikings and their whole thing was some rough stuff, I bet it could be done pretty well as an action adventure.

BTW: A long time ago there was a made for TV movie of the Hulk TV show (you know bill bixby, and lou ferrigno) which guest starred thor,IIRC there was another one which guest starred daredevil too.

After Spidey Thor was my favourite superhero. Partly because when I was a kid the Spidey comics used to have a Thor comic at the end. And partly because he was just so bloody goddamed powerfull. I remember a strip where the US Air Force are using Thor to test a nuclear device by wiring him up to it and setting it off (why? who cares it looked cool). When I first joined my present company, we used to have arguments about who was the most powerful super hero, and it usually used to come down to Thor or Hulk. They had a fight once (Thor and Hulk), where Odin let Thor fight without his hammer for a limited time: I believe it was a draw.

IAWTP... I just wish I owned my own game company, I'd make something like this. Would definitely be a bit more interesting setting than your standard D&D influenced medieval kingdom.
