Why Scalebound should be revived

Most of the detractors of this thread are lame af. "Don't like the game so glad it's cancelled" is the general hivemind thinking...don't like the game? Just don't buy it and or ignore it. Doesn't mean the game should've been cancelled. People like me should've been able to get the game and form our own opinions on it. I still like what I saw of the game, and wish I could've played it. I bet there are much worse games out there that did actually get released. And what, life goes on. The world doesn't end when a game gets released...

Games cost tens of millions of dollars to develop these days. The game was canceled because Phil Spencer didn't want to throw more good money at a bad game that would most likely be a sales flop. If the ROI doesn't work out, it's better to kill the project than spend millions more "because you wouldn't want to disappoint the fans".

Honestly the awful framerate of the gameplay was its main problem and the fact that you gave orders to the dragon but outside of that it was actually cool imho

Before they revive anything or take on a new project, they should finish either Bayonetta 3, Babylon's Fall or this Kaijuu-Superhero game by Kamiya first.

People give Microsoft a lot of grief for this one but IMO it was 100% the right call. Neither Platinum or MSFT were satisfied with the game. Delays can help but they don't always result in a good game. Not to mention the ROI was not there on what would have been more of a niche title. It was the right call financially, sunk cost fallacy and all that.
