No one is questioning the disc as DRM. What we are questioning are your claims of a performance hit due to continuous checks and scans of the disc from "blu ray drm codecs" slowing down transfer speeds from a separate hard drive or ssd. I am fine with any PS hacking scene documentation OR official documentation. From the screeds you write it gives the interpretation that you don't understand what a codec actually does or what a DRM check actually is.
No, the performance hit is after the game is installed. The game was made with the Bluray format in mind. Even in the SSD the Bluray codec and DRM are still in the disc. so you can't increase the read speds any higher than the max Bluray will allow you even with a SSD because it was only formatted to go a certain maximum speed.
You can work around this by using the laser to read the disc at the same time as the SSD running the install but that creates latency.
