I clicked thinking I'd be laughing at the woman but towards the end of the first part, realised he is just unbelievable. Like when she was reading her rules, the shit he was saying was just unacceptable :/

he made an apology on his wife's blog and resigned from some chair positions he held. supposedly theyre facing overwhelming backlash

karmic justice is served i guess. though i'm kind of perplexed as to why he would want to do this show, and then be a complete jackass. like is he just mentally unstable or what?
 
I hate them for the way they are raising their kids, kids don't seem to be enjoying it at all.

His wife was fucking annoying. While my opinion isn't exactly positive regarding the Midwestern family, I did not really feel at any time that I would want to smack the parents. The CA couple, on the other hand, was unbelievable. I don't think I'd be able to control myself in person without going off on them at the very least if they acted like that around/towards me.

i wouldn't feel too sorry for the kids. first it has be mostly an act, has to be. secondly in a matter of years they'll have means to scuttle off to some prestigious college and never have to deal with him again
 
I'm sure part of it is the TV factor, but a good person simply couldn't act that way no matter the situation. And in the end if he were some genius who married a genius and had genius kids that'd be one thing, but his wife is a fucking hypnotherapist and destination coach? He married that?

Quite possibly both.

It's not as though resenting your parents and trying to not be like them means that you won't. In a lot of ways, this sort of environment colors your rules for normative behavior. Sure, you can unlearn this shit, but...

Also, she should have said "agendurr," that way he could have understood.

I think it's much more likely that they'll grow up to rebel against him. They're too young now, but in their teenaged years and especially after they go to college I'll bet they try to distance themselves from him as much as possible.

He's essentially just very immature in the way he regards other people. I've met plenty of guys my age with the exact same attitudes and "I'm going to talk down to anyone that challenges me" behavior.

I'm surprised people are reacting so negatively honestly. There are plenty of others exactly like this, sans the british accent.

I don't think they're quite as common as you make them out to be. I've never met or witnessed anyone who would act like that.
 
It certainly sounds like the producers wanted him to ham it up for the cameras.

Besides, there are many complete and utter pricks in this world and I reckon a lot of them are loving the negativity hurled at this guy.

i'm too lazy to dig up the link, but the man did give a heartfelt apology and he seems perplexed and by his own behavior

he may still deserve the hate but people need to quit harassing his family, vandalizing his place, ect
 
Isn't reality tv like Wifeswap part of dumbed down middle-American culture? I can understand his dislike of it, I can't understand why he would participate in it given his opinions.
 
He tries to degrade the military? What about all the presidents of this country, the one he chose to come to have a voice in, that went through the military?
