Wii Screen Shot Thread (56k no)

Smash Bros. and Godzilla look rad, as always. I'm not interested in Pokemans, but that game is what Wii games should look like. Now give me a full-fledged RPG with those visuals, please.

As for My Sims...Animal Crossing needs to slap a bitch.

Man, boogie has style. It looks really, really smooth and the detail is great. One of the better looking Wii games. Brawl looks fantastic too, with awesome details(like the runes on the platform, I mean, how many will see those in game? Probably the only chance to see them is when you pause to rotate the camera, so this really shows HAL's attention to detail. I like it)

People have been saying they like Boogie's look a lot, but until this batch of screens I've been thinking WTF blind. I see now why - it looks very nice.

No, it's looking quite good actually. No lol about it. Impressive lighting, looks fairly sharp, and while the landscape looks quite barren (and the textures are kinda nasty)...these screens are quite an improvement from the last batch and honestly...more than people expected. Good work to Ban Dai.

Here's the sweet-ass box art for those who are interested.

I like the inclusion of the Superscope in SSBB. (Warios holding it) Takoron has my attention, I like the art.
um.... you do know that the Superscope was already in melee right?

and it was a better model of it too

what makes it a "piece of crap"???

I plugged my controller into it, then when I tried to unplug it (this is all according to directions), the plug from the gun ripped off with the wire attached to it. It can still be used for shooting games, but right away the nunchuck part is gone. All it really does to shoot is having the trigger push the B button in.

after playing it with some Wii Play and Canshooter, I think it could still be good if a game really let you control the sensitivity, I havent had any problems with any other light guns, but this was way too twitchy and it took too long to press in the trigger and actually shoot because it needed to pull the B button. I hope nintendo actually makes a real one that is good.

I think I'll be picking it up .. regardless if its a "piece of crap" :) thanks for the link!

Some Boogie shots :

Pretty. Really nice style.

Are those prerendered BGs or real time? I mean, if it's real time, EA could really use that engine to make something cool for the Wii because that looks pretty awesome

It just looks like art to me - but wow @ the art style.

Prerendered BGs. The dancer is grafted on top of them.

Wow I thought western devs had no art style whatoever but if the game is as awesome looking throughout and plays as well as I hope I will have to pick it up. Boogie looks win.

Haven't played Beyond Good and Evil or Psychonauts much have you? Or, for that matter, a bunch of other games [like Lucasarts adventure games].

Out of those I only got my hands on psychonauts and I didn't like the graphic style. It was way too off the wall like romancing saga to be appealing.

My Sims

Sorry. Broken links. And a big middle finger to "revogamers." It's bad enough you plaster your logo all over other people's work as it is. Sonsabitches.

Super Smash Bros Brawl

Of all the levels from any Nintendo game ever made. They chose THIS ONE. At least it looks quite good.
Why "quite good" ? Looks like the same level I played years ago
