Stupid question, I know- How do you copy and paste image link locations on the Gamepad?

Most upload sites will have a "direct link" address on the page after you upload. Otherwise, just tap and hold over an image, hit "image preview", then "copy image location".

Unless you don't know how to copy/paste on the Wii U in general, in which case, they're the two buttons over the keyboard to the left. They won't show up if you're currently typing something, so just tap the screen first.

Am I cheating by using a Capture Device?
Yes, yes I am.
But people want dem 1080p wallpapers so here are some good images from the Intro
That and Monster Hunter doesn't allow image sharing
(I mainly play on the 3DS and too lazy to transfer my character over)

Hmm, those shots look really low contrast, like the colors got white washed. I think your WiiU may be outputting in a limited color mode or your capture device may be capturing it that way.

For example, on the MH3 logo, what I assume should be a pure black for the background is actually just a dark gray (22, 22, 22) which means you're probably outputting in a limited color space or capturing in one.

Could you try some other games people have already shared images of to see if your capture device is doing something wonky with the images? And if it is, you could play around with the settings on the card perhaps to see if you can fix it?

Also, I really hate to nitpick, but you should convert the BMP files to PNG or high quality JPEG before posting.

When you open BMP files in a new tab on Chrome they automatically download and their file sizes are really, really huge in comparison to PNG or high quality JPEGs.

For example, on your bottom image, it's 5.93Mb as the BMP.

I just tried saving it as a PNG and the file size shrunk down to 1.1Mb.

Then I tried saving as a JPEG and it shrunk all the way down to 634Kb.

I made a tutorial on how to convert images to high quality JPEG images like the one above if you're interested.

The instructions are at the bottom, the top part is just justifying it .

So here's a question, will we see a second site for Sketchpad users to post their artwork for 720p goodness, as opposed to the lower resolution we get now on Miiverse? Because I see a lot of wallpaper worthy images pop up on there.

I'll convert them next time using photoshop. Also don't upload directly from copy, it doesn't work and only you can see the images

I've managed this time on this weeks Weekly Challenge. It's the fastest time I can do it in, I've been spamming "Y" to do his torpedo type move to gain more ground, I've made no mistakes during the running sections. In short, I've done it the quickest I can.

The guy in first place on the Leaderboards has done it in 21.something seconds and from what I can tell, he's using the same character...How?!?

if you tap 'b' then 'y' in secession really quick you do a long jump torpedo type move. if you perfect that, do it all the time at the right times, you'll shave off a few seconds. Kinda like the super move in TMNT2
edit: Also, if your at a section that has an up-wind, if you time this B+Y combo just right, you'll fly through the wind super fast.

I knew there had to be something more to it!

Thanks for the tips :)

Well, if you're using an Elgato, you're not using it properly. Look at the black there, it's not black. Did you set the HDMI range to “standard” in the settings? Wii U doesn't support “extended”.

If you're going to post spoilers please link them instead of embedding them. I want to experience other screens in this thread without having to be spoiled by games I actually have and care about. Thanks.

NintendoLand's plaza is too gorgeous!

Edit: Image, while still beautiful, lost a lot of quality. I didn't register or anything, just did a quick upload. I assume registering would give you more options, perhaps let you select which image(TV/Gpad), change the dimensions and what not? Does imageshack work also? I have an account, will try later.

Since it's much easier to keep good screenshots now. Will u share these to other social networks to promote wii u?
