you can clearly see charger cable slot...its wireless.
Not to mention the power button, which it wouldn't need if it were tethered to the GamePad.

it has a mini usb slot that means is going to have a rechargeable battery like the ps3 controller , which is awesome and not cool at the same time. hopping that the battery light changes color like the 3ds/ds ones.
A poster previously said they weren't mandating using the second screen
I'd love to know why.
And FPS games will work better with the right stick higher up because...?
Does it come in the box?
Er, maybe if you never have to use the face buttons- but even then, why is this better?Because the most obvious reasons why you'd need to use this controller, over the padlet, is for games that focus on dual analogue gameplay. The tablet is just fine for games that use the face buttons primarily.
So what are your options?
WiiU pad
Wii wand
Wii CC
WiiU CC

I have to say, I loves me some symmetry. The bottom part is pretty much a SNES controller, this thing will great for all the roms you people will have to re-buy on the WiiU store.![]()
So how many controllers am I going to have to buy for WiiU?
I can see this getting expensive.
Wait, so the big selling point of the Wii U is the tablet controller, and this all but confirms only first party titles will use it........WTF?

Microsoft Suing Datel For Copying Controller Design
Microsoft has filed a lawsuit against British gaming peripheral manufacture Datel for allegedly infringing on several design patents from the Xbox 360 controller.
The two Datel third-party controllers brought into question are the "TurboFire" and "Wildfire" designs. The lawsuit states Datel is infringing on a total of six patents filed by Microsoft in 2006. The patents filed mostly deal with the front design and button layout of the controller.

Even Nintendo making dual shock look dated. Sony gonna need a all-new pad for PS4.
Just grab a 360 pad and pretend the layout is the same as this controller, it feels fine.

Original Wii CC(s) might be problematic if the triggers on the pad/pro are analog. It's already gimped by not having clicky sticks. So probably just the pad, Wiimote, and pro CC.
