Retro's site was a little ugly looking. Maybe they are just making it sleeker..... for the teaser of their new game :D

Could you imagine the hype if they put up a picture of the master sword behind the date of June 5th, 2012?!?!?

This is no time to monkey around.

I'll gladly act like a monkey for Retro.

I'd feel like this kid

Even if they had a tiny triforce on the corner of their page, it would make me so happy!

I see what you did there. They need a forum. I don't think Tanabe is the end all of a DKR2 possibility, too much cash is at stake for a great sequel. But who else thinks a on-the-fly LB and stat tracking system should be integrated into the Upad screen for a DKR2? Sort of a "JoeSmith friend just beat your time" or "X or Y improvements made here, here and here", sort of a rapid fire reward system for refinement and perfection of the game tie into a full community feature. Could be awesome damnit!

Also bonus rooms on the Upad screen needs to happen, and they need to be platforming challenges not collect-ta-thons.

So what are your guy's predictions for e3 in regards to the WiiU.

Here are mine.

- Half Life 3 exclusive for Wii U

-New Zelda developed by EAD, Retro, and Valve

- Final Fantasy (good game)

- No More Heroes 3

- Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil 4-2

- Mother 4 developed by Obsidan games.

Gonna be time to re-use this once again for this year (and maybe it'll be true):

Great Mario Kart commercials.... sadly true lol

Also if Nintendo did announce an major third party exclusive like HL3, GAF and I would die.

Don't worry, RE4 & 5 will be ported to 3DS with budget pricing. As well as the ported HD ports
of Dead Space Extraction and HoTD: Overkill will see digital releases for the Wii U.

I would totally buy a HoD: Overkill HD port on the Wii U. Re4-5 not so much. If Re4 was completely redone/overhauled graphically while preserving everything at 60fps 1080p, I'd bite.

all time favourite. reggie on the sign plus miyamoto and iwata laughing in the smoke cracks me up
The funniest part to me is how the train represents the dynamics of an over-hyped NeoGAF thread. It's perfect. Pure genius.

That said, I sure hope E3 2012 isn't going to end up this way.

Well, half of the show won't be dedicated to Zelda. I always felt like e3 2011 was just a set up for e3 2012. It's going to take a lot to mess this one up... Microsoft style.

Hey, remember when Nintendo said they were teaming with un-thought of third parties?

Am I the only one that's narrowed it down to either Crytek or Valve, only setting myself up for possible disappointment?

Probably but I'd like to hear your deductive reasoning. :P

It could be with anybody and result in games of all sorts and sizes. I think Metroid Other M definitely counts as one of those unusual collaborations as would the new srpg pokemon crossover game.

Today I saw that Shi'nen has an F-Zero-like game on WiiWare. I'd love to see them work with the Wii U, even if it is just a downloadable title. They could be a great studio to have showcase the possible visual fidelity. In any event, I really hope the system launches with a strong original digital library.

Please don't let it be Zynga. Anybody but Zynga.
check that box!

i can see one of those happening.

I remember a few years ago there was an article in some of the business papers that stated Zynga was the company to follow because of their high profitability vs. low expense model and that they would lead the world in how to do social games.

That model has apparently turned out to be unashamedly plagiarizing if not just copying other games and being frankly candid about it. Maybe the business world is right though. As theft IS a profitable business model, especially if your marketplaces of choice turn a blind eye to it, if not encourage it outright.

This must be a terrible joke, right? Announce a new Zelda just a few months after SS? Mentioning HL3?

Resident Evil 6 could happen, though.

BTW: Do we all agree that Nintendo's next console won't be called Wii U?

It used to happen. WW released in 2003 and TP was announced in 2004. I think it was the same with OOT/MM and the handheld games too. SS was the only one that took unusually long.

I have a strong feeling Nintendo will change the name, atleast in my "non check Internet every day gamer friends" everyone was confused and didn't know the 3DS was a new handheld.

Oh and I hope that Zelda tech demo becomes real, god damn.

Usually Nintendo doesn't let us many time without an announced Zelda game.
In fact, there was a huge amount of time after OoT, something like a decade I mean, when we had 100% of the time a new Zelda game to wait. If I remember correctly, the few last time we had no Zelda game to wait was 4 month between TP release and Phantom Hourglass announcement at GDC 2007, and then after Spirit Tracks release (but we officially knew about "Zelda Wii" for sometime back then without ever seeing it).
IMO, next up is Zelda 3DS announcement maybe at GDC, E3 otherwise.

Yeah, but I think that the next big HD Zelda will take some time. TP was based on the WW engine IIRC and I don't think that it took that much time to create all those TP assets. I expect them to have a bunch of work to do for their first HD Zelda, and I got no problem if it needs more time than the usual Zelda.

I agree with Jackano that the next Zelda will most likely be on 3DS. Need E3...
