The thing with this years' E3 is the sheer amount of promise.
Nintendo have promised better online.
They've promised solid third party support.
They've promised more games directed at the core audience.
They've promised full HD graphics.
They've promised a new IP.
That's a lot to live up to. If they meet all this, then it'll blow everyone else out of the water. If it's somewhat under par, then we'll be left a bit disappointed.
Potentially, here's what could appear at E3:
- Miyamoto's new IP
- Pikmin 3
- RETRO's new core franchise
- DICE/Crytek/EPIC support in some form
- Definitive multiplat versions (think GTAV)
- Robust and exciting online experiences, maybe with Steam support!
- A teaser of the next Mario title
- Some SSBU info
This could be huge.
