Anyways, the price itself doesn't really bother me in the sense that if the games are there, it'll be worth it to their fans. $250 will be worth it for the Metroid fan just as much as $500 is worth it to the Metal Gear fan. But when you put it into perspective with the competition and the hardware that's inside the box (since that's what you're paying for, after all: the hardware), being only $50 cheaper than a 360 doesn't look good at all.

As many suspected, the console will cost $250 in the US, according to the article. Since Nintendo executives have repeatedly said it would be under $250, the likely final price will be $249.99 or $249.95.

"likely" final price doesn't sound like confirmation AT ALL. Most likely just a guess like everybody else.

Personally, an extra 50 bucks for a game I was going to buy and an extra controller is cool. I might pick up one less title initially, but really - the software is going to be good. Zelda, Mario galaxies, Metal Slug anthology. DOPE.

So it's $50 bucks more than poeple expected. Who cares about $50. If you can't afford an extra $50 then you shouldn't be buying video game consoles in the first place. The only problem is the price is out of the impulse buy price of the non-gamers they want to entice. I don't see a non-gamer shelling out that much for a video game console.

Wii Sport is not a game, it shouldn't be equated as a $50 game, but a free demo. Pack in Zelda and $250 is easier to swallow.
