Depends on the price and actual features.
Either way though if they go with the same "let's just scalp it ourselves!" approach they did with the base Ps5 in my country for the first few years I'm probably just skipping it

I mostly switched over to PC this year. I always buy new console hardware, but feel less compelled now. It would really have to blow me away.

It's cute you think people are gonna be able to. Unless it's locked down by them on the ps store it's gonna be the same fiasco as the launch

Won't budge. If stock goes out, it is what it is.

I'm interested but I don't need one right from the get go.

Probably and no.

The ps4 and xb1 needed a refresh because modest graphics cards had not only caught up but far exceeded what theyre capable of (especially the xb1) during that gen.

This gen felt different, modest graphics cards are still fairly close to the ps5/sx in processing power, how much stronger could a pro be while staying in the $700 limit? Twice as powerful? Thats neat but comparatively the Xb1X was around 4.5x faster than the base xb1

If the leaked design is indeed true - then I will more than likely pass. Not that I can't afford or whatnot, but it just has too much overlap with PC gaming these days.
On the hardware front, I am very interested what they will offer, and how much better it would be than my launch PS5.
Fortunately I have a PC that towers over PS5 pro spec, so I think I wlll be okay till PS6. Hoping for a killer product design, actually.

Thing is I'm a physical medium person who enjoys older, niche games, but I have accepted the fact that the days of physical games have pretty much come to an end.
(All games need installing & day1 + multiple updates to run proper.)

So I'm likely to get game on consolidated format on Steam/PC. Mostly due to language preference - but also I don't trust Sony's digital BC policy much.

When consoles really differentiate themselves to PC gaming like they used to (forever exclusives, uniquely different in-game experiences by platform to platform) - I will gladly jump back in to consoles.

I been waiting 4 years to get a PS5 and now all my years of waiting is finally paying off. I can finally get a PS5 system without any obstacles or natural causes in my way.

The Sony PS5 Pro! I will be definitely be preordering it tomorrow at my local GameStop. That if the preorder go live after the 9 min presentation.

Just like with woman , let them chase and want me. Not the other way around.
If i can get one i get one. If its out of stock i will wait till its available again.
I wont drive myaelf insane like last time

I'm hoping they go live tomorrow, and 100% for sure I will be pre ordering that bad boy! I will also order the disc drive if it doesn't come with a disc drive bundle as well.

God why are people so bad at making polls on forums, seems a universal thing lol

(I'll be pre-ordering 2 the minute I can)

Mentioned this in another thread. I expect like the PSVR2 that exclusive pre-orders to go to PS Direct first with local retailers to follow.

PSA: When you pre-order on PS Direct they debit the full amount upfront to verify that the total amount is on the card and then return the funds (I forget how long). Then it's charged again prior to shipping.

Sony Ninja Fanboy confirmed.

To play exactly what?
This. There hasn't been a single title released this gen that I feel the need to upgrade my base PS5 for. PS4 Pro made more sense at the time especially because TVs were all moving to 4k, so at the very least the PS4 Pro took advantage of that as a media player and for the added power for VR (I own the first gen PSVR). The actual benefit to most PS4 games was barely noticeable though.

But this? I'm left questioning what purpose it fulfills. Especially considering the PS6 would just make the PS5 Pro obsolete in the next 3-4 years.

No I highly doubt I'll get one at all, especially if it costs £590. I don't use my PS5 enough to justify that kind of cost. Besides I think the next gen consoles will be out in a few years time anyway so what would be the point anyway.

I will buy two one for the office that I will never use as I have a good pc.

And one for the lounge I'll also never use as my Mrs watches her shows most of the time.

No…..I'm happy with my PS5 and I'm not graphic whore enough that willing to waste money on same system.

At this point I'll save my money and invest in a high end gaming PC

Honestly, this makes the most sense. No console generations to deal with. Steam cloud and online for free, and now the capability to play on a full desktop and pick up the same game on a handheld (ROG Ally X, Legion Go or Steam Deck). Probably the best time ever to be a PC gamer.

I've voted immediately but it does depend on availability. I certainly wont be paying any scalpers either way.

I hope not because I'm really busy and won't have time to be on my phone.
And, unlike last time, Sony had a date for the pre-order after the announcement. But Walmart's dumbass went out and decided to take pre-orders early so everyone broke Sony's PS5 pre-order date

My guess is that it'll be around $1000AUD, which is too much just to play GT7. If Sony still made games, that'd be great - and no, I don't give a shit about Astro Bot. But, nah. This has been the most pathetic wet fart of a generation ever, and I'm not rewarding them for it. I'll stick with my penis extending 4090.
