Not a chance. Not launching in America when it's ready is suicide. They will just apply whatever tariff requires and release it. People will know why it's over priced and when things are reversed on the future they'll drop it back down.

No. I think they will annouce the preorder after the MK direct later this week. They already got enough backlash over the price, so I think it will be the same price.

I think part of it is still the uncertainty in the future. Every fucking day the orange man keeps changing the deal, and everyone prays he doesn't alter it any further. Even if Nintendo is in a good position to launch the system at the current price right now, that doesn't answer what the situation is gonna be later in the year or next year. Raising the price in the middle of selling is something I don't think they want to do. This whole situation sucks.

Why delay when they can charge more and claim tariffs. It makes the launch window even better.

We saw a ton of companies raise prices beyond inflation and COVID costs during the COVID years. Now we will have the tariff times.

Raising the price while it's on shelves is perfectly fine given the situation. Everything will go up in price. People know why. What will be crappy is if they don't drop it back down as tariffs decrease.

why the crud cant i preorder this thing yet if tarifs are on holds for 3 months?? Delayed??
This whole situation is a logistics nightmare. 3 months, and then what happens? Many companies are still waiting for clarity. The console also launches in about 3 months. How many units they can get to the US will affect how they handle pre-orders.

Nintendo will sell the switch 2 at either price with tariffs or without them. Nintendo's dick is out and full erect, the fans have their asses in the air. And willing to go ass to mouth. Nothing stops this train.

Good I hope the tariffs hurt Nintendos launch so they'll think twice about being arrogant Nintendo. Right now Nintendo thinks they can get away with anything.

I'm 50/50 on the pricing thing. I don't know what price Nintendo sells the Switch 2 to importers for but even if no consoles are shipped from China it's still a 10% tariff that is surely going to incur at least $30 per unit.

I don't think it will be delayed, price going up is a maybe.

If the price was an easy decision for Nintendo we'd already have had the new pre-order date given so clearly they're thinking it over.

Evidence of the wider backlash please. Or are we just taking the opinions of some on niche internet forums. And YouTubers with very few subscribers and views. The Switch 2 is only $100 more then the OLED model at launch.

Probably a $50 jump in price, but it def won't be delayed since the US market is far too important for Nintendo.
Yeah doubt it'll be delayed, the U.S Market is the biggest for basically everything. I'm in a strange position that I might not mind too much about a price increase and not because I'm rich and will just foolishly pay for everything. It's because I might get tempted to buy the Switch 2 kart bundle if it actually remains at the 500 dollar msr price. But if they raise the price by 50 or any increase for that matter than it'll give me a good excuse to not buy it and save money, not even paying attention to it till years later since I'll never be bored of my PC anyway.

They must already have thousands and thousands of consoles in the US waiting to be distributed, because they were going to delay it. Whether they raise the price or not remains to be seen.
