Yes, but it will take time. We won’t see much of the effects for at least 2-3 years.
Studios with some foresight who have games releasing in the next 12 months may be delayed to rework or remove some of the most ideologically driven scenes.
Remits from the top will realign studios to some degree, in time, however this may vary significantly in miliage depending where they are based. Some studios have been flooded with activists at many levels, and in Europe you can’t just sack people without cause. Being too ideological is not grounds for dismissal. Big publishers, particularly if a recent game by one of the developers has flopped may try to get around this by simply closing the studio, making a new studio and selectively hiring more neutral developers and the best talent.
But yeah, nothing will be quick. There will be several more concords, and it will be financially a very very painful couple of years for the industry. If activist games were flopping hard already this year, now the push back is fully cemented it will only get more pronounced.
