He tried to acquire the license to the game to rerelease it and failed. He then said it was impossible and another Windjammers would never be made. The game has been in a weird rights situation so someone did some work to navigate all of it for this to be possible.

Cheers. I had to look them up but they do deserve much respect for making this possible. I wonder it it was them that managed to unearth the rights or Sony.

I don't doubt peoples enjoyment and love for the game but fucking nobody was talking about it anywhere before GB started bringing it in streams.

Without Giant Bomb and Lang this game would not be coming out.

Yep, I'm sure that their combined, years spanning focus on this game managed to open some old doors indeed. I doubt this re-release would ever have happened if the ball didn't get rolling (especially in terms of people starting to ask Sony about it) due to GB's content. I'm definitely thankful for it and look forward to GB's coverage (especially a Quick Look featuring Lang perhaps).

Omg I remember playing this game in the arcades over 13 years ago!! The thought of this game would always pop into my head every once and awhile and I honestly never thought I would get a chance to play this gem again, the hype is real for me. This was one of my favourite arcade games !!

Edit : Would be awesome if they added PS3 te stick support for this game. Doubt that's happening though.
