Based on the response to my questions on this thread and on the other thread, these games on my list are currently working fine.

Arkham Asylum

Fallout 3 goty
Fallout NV
Witcher 3

Hopefully someone can test these games for Win 10

Arkham City and Origins
Ac Unity
Witcher 2
Crysis trilogy including Warhead.

Edit on Skyrim. Does Skyrim with ENB work with Win 10?

Absolutely clean and flawless upgrade process for me, the only thing I needed to do manually was install new chipset & LAN drivers for my motherboard, and graphics drivers for my 760.

Loving the return of the start menu, everything feels and looks crisp to me, I like the fresher cleaner look.

Probably the most painless and smooth OS upgrade I've ever done.

Just had a weird thing where I was downloading an app, paused it, unpaused it, and it started from 0 again instead of from where I paused it. Also, app downloads don't elegantly continue if you lose connectivity or switch networks during the download.

Edit: The app I was trying to download was a Windows 8 launch game which since I last tried it has updated to add advertising, LOL. Wow, great new feature!

Okay, so my laptop (which had Professional) has been upgraded, but it's edition is showing up as home. It still has Bitlocker actvated.

What the heck happened here?

Is there any way to view a list of all the "Xbox" games? The store does not seem to allow you to search whether the game is an Xbox games. There is a collection of """Great""" Xbox Games but there's only 13 and half are shit. In Windows 8, the Xbox app let you list them all and use that to get into the Store app, but it doesn't seem possible to get a list in the Windows 10 Xbox app because ???

I guess they don't want to discourage people from buying non-Xbox apps or something?

Search the store for "Xbox" and then refine by games? I counted 26.

replace that ugly blue login picture with something of your choice
http://www.mediafire.com/download/qcenl5cdw5nn3fk/Windows+10+Login+Background+Changer.exe

AV will probably flag it but its fine, worked without a hitch

Just because it actually makes you change the background doesn't mean there isn't more it is doing that you're not aware of. I would certainly not recommend running an exe to change a login background. Especially not if my AV considers it to be an infected file.

The installation failed in the Safe_OS phase with an error during install_drivers operation.

Failed twice now with that error, any ideas or suggestions?

Just to confirm what I have said about activations in here, this is now on the official website.

Note
If you upgraded to Windows 10 on this PC by taking advantage of the free upgrade offer and successfully activated Windows 10 on this PC in the past, you won't have a Windows 10 product key, and you can skip the product key page by selecting the Skip button. Your PC will activate online automatically so long as the same edition of Windows 10 was successfully activated on this PC by using the free Windows 10 upgrade offer.

check the setuperr.log file in windows.bt folder to find out what driver is causing the problem

After more or less 8 hours trying trying to start the update, I finally managed to get it running on my laptop. I had to restart Windows update twice (once because I had a different locale, the other because the internet died on me) and the download speed was awfully slow at the end. At least it's finally going.

However, I'm worrying about how I'm going to update my tablet. It only has a 16gb eMMC and the most space I can free up is 3.6 gbs. Anyone here has installed Win10 on a 16gb tablet yet?

Witcher 2 runs great, 100-175FPS in the assault part of the prologue on my 970 and i7 4770K.

Looks like if you use a VPN with an external client, the track network usage by app function completely breaks because all the usage is recorded under the VPN app

That blurry font rendering makes me cry :/

well im in

seems to be working fine. First thing I noticed is that it kinda overrode my Synaptics stuff so now double finger scrolling works like a macbook

ie: the opposite way, and super slow

any idea how to change it back?

In this case it's a Mac screenshot over an RDP connection (and there's some weird resolution downsampling over Remote Desktop) uploaded to Imgur so I suspect that is causing greater than average turdliness.

I just did a clean install of Windows 10 after upgrading from Windows 7 and now my PC gets an Inacessible Boot Device error whenever it starts. Help?

Yeah I'm waiting until I finish Witcher 3 before I upgrade. Plus I dont even have the BT folder or whatever the fuck now anyway. Might as well just wait with how hard its getting hit now. I'm so impatient lol.

You probably need to rebuild your boot.bcd so that it points to the Windows 10 installation properly, seems to get confused sometimes.

Halp me GAF something's gone drastically wrong. I successfully installed Windows 10 via the upgrade but ended up with a tiny screen with a large black border on my TV. Figuring this was display driver related I tried to install the old nvidia driver - no dice, 'uninstall failed'. Then tried the to install the latest driver over the top but again the installer failed.

So I decided it would be best to do a clean install using the reset feature. I chose not to keep any docs from c drive and started the reset. Came back later to see the message 'there was a problem with the reset, click here to return to windows 10'. Now my desktop is stuck in an endless reboot loop and won't start Windows at all - what can I do? Can I create an ISO from the link in the OP and do a fresh install from disc? If I do will it 'know' I'm eligible for the free upgrade via my MS account / the fact that I had it running before it failed?

unfortunately that's not the case, that's gray scale aa..

Oh and reading your comments is both sad and funny. Especially the somewhat broken start menu.

the app store is getting beat up right now, if you try the refresh thing enough it'll eventually download

Yeah, Netflix worked now. Not Skype though. But now I instead got a message that I have received my device limit. I have ONE device. ONE. I've never owned another device that can install Windows apps. Lol.

So I've been on the preview program for about a month now and today I haven't received any updates at all. Is this normal? It's almost 8pm here now.

Edit: Just like to add that I got an e-mail from MS stating insiders get the full release version first.

Updated okayish.

Now Windows 10 won't recognize my display (comes up as generic PnP) and won't use my GPU (defaults to onboard Intel HD graphics using virtual monitor)

Device manager sees the card. Just won't use it.

Running W10 right now. I like the design, much more than previous Windows versions. I had Start Menu so I find the new Start Menu at least much better than the Metro crap, but still bloated with tiles and the like. I can survive with that anyway.

Noticing several improvements. File Explorer is cool. Task View is cool. Its also pretty damn fast, I am surprised.

- Can you change keyboard shortcuts?
- Tiles look terrible. The Dropbox icon is almost invisible in blue and every other color is ugly as fuck
- It looks really slick overall
- Multiple desktops is nice
- It's fast

Can anyone tell me how microsoft accounts are done on Windows 10?

Basically, my Xbox Live account is on a different Microsoft Account to my Office 365 one. Can I just individually sign into each application with a different Microsoft, or is it forcing an overall one this time?

(I can't transfer my Xbox Live account due to the Office 365 subscription. >.<)

Had some issues when I upgraded with my ASUS. Thought I would share how I fixed it.

I was getting an error msvcr100.dll could not be found. It seemed AVG was not loading properly. I downloaded the msvcr100 x 86 driver from microsoft. I also uninstalled and reinstalled AVG 2015. Also, ASUS Smart Gesture was no longer working. I had to uninstall the program, and then reinstall the program from ASUS. Doing these things stopped the error notices from coming up and Smart Gesture now works properly.
